Hello my question is, is there a combination of two otc pain relievers that when taken together gives approximately the same relief from pain as that of a 500mg vicodan? My mom has terrible osteoarthritis, with awful pain and swelling. She is 78 years of age and would be pretty active if for not the pain. Thank you so much for your time. BJC ## I'm sorry, but no there isn't. Vicodin contains Hydrocodone (an opiate narcotic), coupled with Acetaminophen, so there is nothing equivalent available over the counter. The FDA warns that it carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth, and constipation. Is her doctor not treating her pain? Has she taken Vicodin for it in the past?

My husband had taken 2 vicodin (unsure strength) on a late thursday night (1am ish) for pain, and needed a surprise drug test at 7:30am the following Thursday with his work. He had a script from physical therapy and a shoulder surgery, but unsure of if it was outdated because he tossed the bottle after those 2 left. With that said is that enough time for it to be out of his system 6.5 days? (with adequate hydration, and in good shape) Thank you, sort of freaking out here!! ## Well, I can't guarantee it, but in theory it should be. The Hydrocodone in Vicodin is usually detectable for approximately 4 days, after last dosing. It will vary, however, from person to person depending on metabolism, overall health, activity levels, fluid intake and etc. Learn more Vicodin details here. Did ...

I take Vicodin as needed for pain and just started Contrave a few weeks ago. Would it help or hurt if I increased the Vicodin dose in order to have its benefit? ## How much of the Vicodin has your doctor instructed you to take? The FDA warns that Vicodin carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth, and constipation. You should never take more than your doctor has instructed.

After my hurting back in a head on car accident, it's getting worse as I age. I am a senior citizen, out of shape now...I was going to a PC Dr in a local clinic for years, was getting fed up with their tactics, mistakes, cancelled appts at last minute, etc. TWICE I went into WITHDRAWAL for vicodin whilst waiting for script as such renewed every month when my Doctor was out of town on family emergency... Since last Thursday i'm now going to a local hospital's Outpatient center. They gave me a ton of paperwork, referrals for getting MRI, papers I signed, MRI referral, etc and in between such was my new prescription for 3x's per day 5/325 hydrocodone/acetaminophen, aka vicodin. OMG panic attack as i have LOST MY SCRIPT!! I called other places within their center I visited, ...

I am taking 2 tabs of vicodin 10/325 is equal to what does of oxycodon. Thank you ## Hello, Angelo! How are you? That would be equivalent to about 13.33mgs of Oxycodone. The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with? ## What does 4 tablets of 5.325 equal to of hydrocodone

I have a herniated disc in my back along with severe carpal tunnel in both hands. I just moved here from san Diego and need to find a Dr that will prescribe me something. I'm not looking for anything crazy just something like vicodin that will take the edge off when it gets severe. The only insurance I have right now is medi-cal so preferably a Dr that accepts that or isn't too expensive out if pocket. ## Since you're no longer a resident of Calif you won't be able to use Medical. You need to check the eligibility requirements for Ohio Medicaid and if you met them apply for Medicaid in Ohio. ## All doctors can..but I doubt you have a reason other than getting high. Otherwise you would have a Doctor and be under his care...quit trying to source out drugs on forums ## Plea...

My pain medication no longer works. My body stop has responding to them and instead I feel amped up. That's so disheartening, and defeats the purpose. The reason for taking pain meds is because I suffer from 6 major medical diagnosis and I don't what to get into them right now. My physician plays dumb when I ask him. I will say I've been on pain meds for over 11yrs and have had 4 surgeries and another 1 is in the works. Can anyone help? Please and your help is very appropriated. ## There isn't anyway to say that any one medication in a certain dosage is more effective than another, it really depends on the person and what works for them. That said, it's hard to even make a suggestion that you can discuss with your doctor, when you haven't mentioned what you'v...

I moved to Grand Haven, Michigan almost a year ago. I have been on pain medicine for over 4 years due to rheumatoid arthritis, fibromyalgia, and lupus. I have been traveling back to southern Indiana to see my doctor so I could continue my pain management treatment. I am trying to find a doctor around Grand Haven, Grand Rapids Michigan who is willing to treat chronic pain using pain medication. I am currently on 2 10 mg Vicodin 3 times a day. I have never failed a pill count nor a drug panel. I have detailed medical records to back up all the conditions I mentioned. I appreciate any information you can provide Thanks. ## i am in the same area and also trying to find a good and consistant pain doc. Is there a good pain management doctor in Olympia, WA that will prescribe pills? ## Hello, Earnest! How are you? There are plenty of great pain management specialists in WA, but I can't say whether or not they will prescribe you anything. It depends on your condition, health, medical history and etc. Do you currently have a PCP that you see regularly that could refer you to someone? If so, that might be the quickest and easiest way of finding the help you need. Can anyone suggest a good doctor in that area? Due to the new regulations that were put in place, doctors have to be careful about prescribing such medications and usually prefer to do so only as a last resort, after other options have failed. ## An 85 yr old lady in the Perth area of WA has pain in the knee and is looking fo...

What is this pill? It's white with no imprints on it. I was told it is pain pill (vicodin). Also have a blue pill with no imprint on it and was told the same thing? ## If there are no markings it's really difficult to say whether they really are Vicodin, or not. Learn more Vicodin details here. When it comes to prescription regulations, the U.S. and Canada are pretty strict and they require markings, but when it comes to most other countries, the regulations pretty much tank. Where did you get them? ## You more then likely got a bunk pill. I would NOT take a pill from another contry with no markings. That's like someone giving you poison...... Hello, I have taken Vicodin, Tramadol, OR Lortabs OFF AND ON for the past 6 years. By off and on I mean, maybe two months on and four months off, throughout that time period. Over the last year and a half it has been strictly Vicodin, maybe one to one and a half of the m360's a day. Usually one in the morning and one in the evening. And this too has been off and on..stopping for a couple months, starting for a couple months. I haven't taken anything in a little over 2 weeks now and I still seem to have withdrawal effects that I normally never had. Every morning I wake up feeling "hungover", I get headaches almost everyday, my GI tract is always jumpy, I'm shaky and sweaty. It's just really weird to me that I am still going through this stuff..but the biggest thin...

I take 10/325 vicodine. My doctor puts on the RX to fill on the 5th of every month. I get 120 and take 4 a day. I run out early a few times a year because if you count the days from the 5th of last month when I got them filled to the 5th of February it actually adds up to to like 32-33 days on some 5th to 5th dates which causes me to run out 2-3 days early. The pharmacist says even though it's a 30 day supply they still can't fill it until the 5th because that's what the RX says. Does the new law address this? Any suggestions? ## The new laws and directives actually place more restrictions on it, so your pharmacy no longer has any leeway and can't fill it until the date the doctor has directed. Has anyone else noticed that a popular brand that all the pharmacies are giving people do not work? Can they get in trouble for their products not being what they are supposed to be? ## What popular brand are you referring to? Not all pharmacies in the U.S. will offer the same generic, at the same time. Thus, no one can really comment without knowing more information, such as who the listed manufacturer is, or what the markings on the tablet are, so can you please post back with more details? Why in the world would someone with a limited hydrocodone habit of #60 5 mg. tabs for 2 months ever consider a suboxne protocol??? That level of hydrocodone wouldn't even necessitate a physical Withdrawl program would it?? Furthermore what kind of " specialist " would actually approve this?? IDK CAN SOMEONE ASSIST ME WITH THIS Many thanks ## Well, while Suboxone is intended for severe, long-term addictions, it has been found that small, short-term doses of it can help people that aren't really technically considered addicted. For instance, some patients that were taking opiates for pain, who've had trouble stopping them due to withdrawal effects, have been given short-term low dose Suboxone very successfully to help stop taking them. What may not cause one person to ...
