Venlafaxine Hcl Er Manufactured By Aurobino Contact Fda

I have been taking generic Venlafaxine from Tega Pharma for the past 5 years and have had no issues. My pharmacy is now using the Aurbino manufactured version. I had an extream adverse reaction and nearly ended up in the ED. I was basically going through withdrawal. I reported the event to both the drug company and FDA. Please report any issues you are having to the FDA. I found a pharmacy that had the Tega brand and I was back to normal within a day. Something is seriously wrong with the Venlafaxine Aurobino is producing. Please report your issues so the FDA can take action.

I have been on veneflaxine for years and it works great but started feeling bad about a week ago and decided to look at my bottle thinking maybe they gave me the wrong dosage or something. It was manufactured by Aurobindo this time not Tega. I'm feeling signs of depression coming back, shortness of breath, anxiety. I think I will call my doc tomorrow and try to get a new script to switch back to Tega. One other thing, I just checked my blood pressure and it was 126/86

Sorry to hear about your experience Sally. Did you mean to say Teva, not Tega? I noticed that Tega isn't a drug manufacturer and the original poster had mentioned Tega as well, so I just wanted to clear that up.

At any rate, patients can file a report about their side effects anytime through the FDA, via their MedWatch Program: fda.gov/Safety/MedWatch

I'm sure if enough people report a problem something will have to be done about it. In the meantime, talking with your doctor about switching manufacturers sounds like the next best option in my opinion as well.

Does anyone know what fillers they use in the Aurobindo version? I see that this manufacturer's headquarters are based out of Hyderabad, India and they have a US-branch (probably to help make themselves look more patriotic)... Yet exporting their inferior products to the US doesn't help the cause.
