Veloz D Tablet

My father is 73. He is taking Veloz -D tablet once daily for 2 years after having a boold vomiting. He had also black stool 7 years back. He is diabetic with hypertension. He is also taking prostrate medicine veltam plus . Does taking veloz-D for a longer period have any side effects. The doctor is telling that he has to take for life long.

Veloz-D contains the active ingredients Rabeprazole and Domperidone, it is used to reduce the amount of acid produced by your stomach, to prevent or treat problems such as ulcers, GERD and heartburn.

As to the side effects from long-term use, there actually haven't been any studies done to establish that information, because these medications are usually used for a period of 4 to 16 weeks, to allow a condition to heal, then they are discontinued.

However, it is sometimes necessary for someone to take them longer and, if his doctor has said he needs to continue it, then it would probably be wise that he do so.

The bleeding he had could be a serious problem that puts his life in danger.
