i m 28 years old male i taking valparin crono 300mg daily morning one and night one,am taking 5months Doctor says i have to take it 3years but now my memory is so bad, finger are shevaring,always i feel uncomfortable,now what can i do? for this side effects...

can any1 say to that what is the side effect of valperin crono 200 cz last 1year my wife take it,in 15august,2013 we got married and 2october,2013 she divorced with me ... she become weak more and more day by day ... she gone a mentaly paitent ... I love her vary much ... she just become pregnant... she always against aboison ... but the cause of divorce is aboison... pls help me out I need her very much ....

HI,
My mother who is 88 years had a bleeding in brain due to a fall. She underwent a burr hole surgery, and doctors have asked her to take 300mg of Valparin chrono and 250mg of Levipil both in the morning and in the evening to prevent occurance of convulsions. Is it safe to take both these medicines both in the morning and in the evening on a daily basis. What are the likely side effects.

I have been using valparin chrono 500mg since august 2016, I have loss of appetite and when I am not using I am normal when I am using I am becoming abnormal and not eating well

I am consuming valaprin chrono 200mg past 4 yrs twice a day along with lamentic 100mg, a month before I visited a neurologist and he asked me to reduce the dosage by having this tablet of valparin chrono 200mg once a day just at night .... and consuming the lamentec as usual twice a day.... I haven't got a seizures of blankness but i want to know a solution as I want to conceive but many people say valparin chrono is dangerous so wat is the solution doctors jjusf say reduce your weight first but is there a solution

I feel sleepy when I take Valparin Chrono 300mg and on three different occasions I got the fits. And even though I get fits I tried discontinuing the tablet 3 to 4 times without success. What should I do now?

Same :( I've failed in my ipcc exams. And i think its because of my epilepsy and valparin chrono tablets. I feel depressed and suicidal at times and then i cant concentrate and forget everything i learn way too easily.

I got 6 or 7 atacks of uncounsiousness on early mornign near about 6 to 8 am only,

while i wake up my hands and legs nurves are stichhing and i feel tiered.

One doctor told me its a diprration attack at that time my Blood pressure was bit high,

Other doctor told me after Getting normal report of MRI and EEG that i have a normal problem of epylepsy.and suggested to have valparin chorono 300 daily two times,

While i have it twice in a day i faced a problem of Loss of appetite so have daily one tablet in a day but after six month now i have a problem of lake of understanding,confusuion,problem to remember routien work, problem to speak and explkaing and understanding.

So my problem is that really i have a epylapsy or not ? if yes then valparin chorona 300 is not suits on me or what ?

now what should i do to solve this problems (Side effects) plz tell me should i have it anymore or not?

i have no attacks of uncouncisosness or epylepsy since 8 months.

Please help me and advice me what i have to do ?

Dear Mr. Sharma,

I had posted the same question here months back but nobody came forward with any answers. I find more and more questions coming up here and very few answers which pose questions about the very usefulness of this window.

Here is what I could gather about Valparin Plain & Valparin Chrono. There is no difference between the two in their effectiveness. Both release Valproate ions (V-), which is the active ingredient, when it hits the water in the stomach. Only that Chrono is long acting/ controlled release, which makes it perhaps a better choice over Plain, if you accidentally missed out a dose. The side effects are more or less the same, depending on the patient.

But I have to tell you that I am no medical expert. The above information is what I could gather from various sources. You may consult a competent medical authority for confirmation if you so wish.

hi the major difference btw valparin and chrono is valparin chrono is the mixture of sodium valproate and valporic acid in 2:1 ratio with hpmt technology which makes the drug for controll release that it is maintained in the plasma levels for long period where as plain valparin has only sodium valproate an divalproex sodium is the mixture of sodium valproate and valporic acid in 1:1 compound ratio which is mainly used for dysthemia or bipolar disorders...

My son during his 5th year he had a seizure while sleeping and medicated for 5 years during these period only one time repeated seizure came due to discontinuance of medicine for one week .At the age of 9 doctor stopped all medicines , when he became at the age 15 head ache problem came doctor told that it is migraine and treated with valprid with less dose but head ache continued, then last one year doctor increased the dose to 500 .now he has no head ache problem.now i think he is having some shortage of memory ( he is not getting marks as he wished even though he is working hard, for tenth (CBSC) he got 90 % for plus two % reduced ,now he is studying for a degree course,he is having talents in drawing and very smart in all other aspects..i think at times his eyes are st airing,is this the side effects of this medicine i want to know when the medicines can be withdrawn and whether he will have any other side effects which will make problem in future kindly give me a reply
