Once you are a full 24 hours in to taking an antibiotic, you should not see any worsening. Since you have experienced more swelling, it may mean that this one isn't work for you and you should return to your dentist/doctor as you may need to try something else.
The FDA lists the typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, non-allergic skin rash, and diarrhea.
And yes, there is a concern about the havoc such an infection could potentially cause to your heart, so please don't wait to consult your prescriber, again.
