Urovec Side Effects (Top voted first)

Can urovec mess with your menstrual cycle? I haven't had my period and this is kinda freaking me out.

If you haven't previously experienced any changes in your menstral cycle prior to taking Urovec then it is very likely that this medication is the culprit (assuming that you aren't taking anything else?).

Urovec contains the active ingredient Phenazopyridine. The most common side effects tend to be headaches, dizziness, and an upset stomach.

More severe, less common side effects can include:

yellowing of the skin or eyes
fever
confusion
skin discoloration (blue to bluish-purple)
shortness of breath
skin rash
sudden decrease in the amount of urine
swelling of the face, fingers, feet, or legs

I've read several patient experiences in the past on various medications whereas it did effect their menstrual cycle and throw it off by as much as two weeks. So if this is the case, then you certainly are not alone.

Have you consulted with your doctor or gynecologist about this yet?

Thanks! I didn't go to the doctor but my mom made me parsely tea and i drank it twice a day for 2 days to ind uce my period. Which actually worked.
