Is there a difference in Potassium Citrate ER 10 MEQ Tab and Potassium Citrate 540 MG SA Tab? ## Hi John, Other than the difference in dosages where 10 mEq is equivalent to 750 mg, the "SA" also appears to be an extended release tablet; so from what I can gather, there aren't any immediate differences besides the dose. The only other differences would be found in the inactive ingredient list of each tablet, since they may be manufactured by different companies. I am suffering from an umbilical hernia approx. 4 mm in size and I feel the need to urinate many times with passing of urine. small round whit pill, it's scored once on one side and has 257 imprinted on the other...there is NO other writing or letters on the pill! ## The closest match I have been able to find is manufactured by Zydus Pharmaceuticals and they list it as containing 15mgs of Oxybutynin, which is used to help treat overactive bladder, and urinary incontinence. The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, drowsiness, vomiting, and urinary retention. Is anyone else familiar with this tablet?

I am a heart patient - had CABG about 14 years ago. Medicines I am taking are : Deplatt CV 20 (1 tab daily), Monotrate OD 50 (1 tab daily), Valzaar 80 (2 tabs daily), Nebicard 10 (1 tab daily), Flavedon MR 35 mg (2 tabs daily); for prostrate problem, I am taking Urimax 0.4 (1 tab daily); for arthritis, I am taking Folitrax 7.5 (1 tab weekly). Along with these I am taking Cobadex Czs (1 tab daily) and Folvite 5 (1 tab daily). Is Folvite 5 necessary? I understand Cobadex Czs also has 'Folic acid'. Is any of these medicines superfluous? I am 64 years old.

I'm a quadriplegic and have not control over bladder functioning. On verifying my urine test, I was asked to meet an Urologist who after checking me prescribed 'Urimax-D' for 3 months. I have been using urimax d for several years. It has made the flow normal but I like to give up using it. When I gave it up I felt urine flow not normal. I am 77+ and physically weak. My brother (who has been diagnosed with nephrotic syndrome) has been taking tacromus and omnacortil along with some other medicine as prescribed by his super specialist kidney doctor since 2011. However, his condition has been unpredictable. Recently, without informing his doctor we let him stop his medication and gave him our local herbal juice & amazingly his monthly test result showed a better result than it did during his time on medication. I had bladder mesh surgery 7yrs ago, several procedures, hysteroscopy and have been on myrbetriq for a few years. But now my Dr has added oxybutynin with this, so does this mean my bladder is getting worse? ## Have your issues and symptoms become worse? You would be the best person to know that. Are you sure your doctor didn't want you to switch from one to the other? How long does it take oxybutinin to work? I just started the pill form 5 mg today, supposed to take 2x daily and only took one so far and still going like crazy ## Hello, Sammy! How are you? There may be some slight effect when you first start taking it, but usually it can take awhile for it to reach a good efficacy level in your body. Really, having taken just one dose is too soon to expect it to do much. If you continue for a week or more and have no results, then you'll need to contact your doctor. I have not taken any for 1 1/2 days and I am still quite dizzy. Is this the side effect of use. ## How long where you taking it? I have been on Vesicare for around 7 months now and finally got my life back at last. They worked like a dream and most of my symptoms disappeared. I was taking oxybutynin 5mg three times a day for about 2 months. I've had surgery and don't need it anymore Now I'm nauseated no energy. Basically feel horrible. Am I going thru withdrawal? My husband was prescribed Oxybutynin over two weeks ago, after a week the dose was increased to two tablets a day. He has Parkinson's disease and takes Sinemet and Ropineral. Over the past few days, his Parkinson's which was controlled has now spiraled to the point where his mobility and tremors are badly affected. Could this be connected to the Oxybutynin? This condition worsens as the day progresses. ## Yes, the NCBI actually does report that is has been known to worsen cognitive function in those that have Parkinson's.
