Yes I had a question about a prescription that was filled for my mother who is diabetic and is also has been prescribed Lortab 10 mg but when it was time to get her refill again for the following month I was looking at the pills in the bottle because they look different from before so I looked up the numbers on the pill and it said that they were 500mg acetamin with the markings of GPI A5 but her prescription bottle says that the pill is supposed to have m 367 I took them back to the pharmacy and the pharmacy technician told me that someone must have tampered with my prescription prescription that it was not filled with those pills get that Pharmacy so what do I do for recourse to get to the bottom of this because no one has tampered with his pills I am my mother's caretaker and the...

how many tylenol 4 are equal to a 10MG 325 hydrocodone? ## You'd need about 66.67mgs of Codeine to be equivalent to each 10mgs of Hydrocodone, so that would be about a tablet and a half, give or take. However, due to the Acetaminophen that is also in Tylenol 4, you should not take more, unless your doctor has specifically instructed you to do so. Taking too much of it in any 24 hour period may cause overdose toxicity, which can be fatal. The FDA classifies these medications as narcotic analgesics, so they carry the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, constipation and dry mouth. I have chronic spine and hip pain from scoliosis and fibromyalgia. I took Vicodin for several years back when it did not have a generic and it did a good job for pain relief. The generic, Hydrocodone, supposedly has the same exact ingredient of codeine in the 5-300 cap, but does not give me pain relief. Do you think if I switched to Tylenol #3, which does NOT have a generic, that it's level of codeine would work better for pain relief? I take two 5-325 hydrocodne/acetaminephin every night for back pain. Today I have a stomach bug and a bad headache, is it ok to take two extra strength tylenols for my headache? ## Sue, I'm not a licensed physician but my informed opinion is yes that amount of acetaminophen will certainly not cause any long-lasting effects, so don't suffer, treat your headache. I would like to know about more about Tylenol #3 with Codeine. Uses, side effects, etc... ## Tylenol #5 is only dispensed to inpatients. You can not get a script for it, but they do exist. I found some white oblong pills in my sons room that say Ex on one side and nothing on the other. They look like Tylenol but a little bigger. I don't think they are excedrine as I take them for headaches myself. Pill identifyers come up with nothing on the searches. Is it safe to take Tylenol extra strength 625mg and Amox-Clav 875 mg together? ## I didn't find any problems or interactions listed between them in the NIH database, as a matter of fact, they are often prescribed together to treat an infection and the pain some of them can cause. The FDA lists the typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, non-allergic skin rash, and diarrhea. Too much Acetaminophen could cause liver damage or liver failure and an overdose has the potential to be fatal. They are all required to have imprints to enable their identification. Where was it found/obtained? I've taken 2000 mg of Tylenol for back pain. Can I take a Lortab 7.5? I'm waiting on my Chiropractor to come back... ## Wow! No, it is not safe to add more Acetaminophen to the mix within 8 hours of taking it, according to the FDA. Actually, you should not exceed 1,000mgs in any 8 hour period, and no more than 3,000mgs in any 24 hour period. Taking more than that could result in liver damage, liver failure and Acetaminophen toxicity, which could be fatal. It would be best to wait and make sure you doctor knows how much you've been taking. Did you experience any adverse effects? ## I take Lortab 5/325 every 8 hours. Tablets begin to lose efficacy, after their expiration date. Even those still sealed in the original factory containers only have a shelf-life of 3 to 4 years. Thus, these are most likely worthless after all this time. The best thing to do would be to dispose of them and see your doctor for a new prescription. I am at a loss at how a Dr can prescribe Tylenol 4 and my urine test can come back showing opiates and he says that I'm taking something else when I have NEVER in my life done drugs or abused prescribed medications. Shouldn't he know that Tylenol 4 can do that or is that not a medical fact? I recently got a prescription of Tylenol 3 from my doctor, and I am now in a bit of a situation with DCS and my children. They drug tested me and found opiates and oxcodone in my urine. I finished up a prescription of Hydros about a month ago, but I have only taken the Tylenol 3 since then. I know it will show as opiates, but I don't understand why they are finding the oxydone. Is that normal. I lost my kids over this crap, and I need it cleared up. I plan to talk to my lawyer about it. I just need an idea. ## I do know that codeine can make you positive for morphine, but I haven't heard of it testing positive for something else. Hood luck
