Trying To Get Off Xanax.

I've been on 0.1 mg. of Xanax for about 2 yrs. and I find that I'ts not doing as good as it used to. I'm trying to take myself off, but this is really difficult. My heart races so fast,nausea, vomiting, I can't even sit down. I get them legally from my mental health doctor. I have severe panic attacks when around people or in stores. I know I have taken more than I should of this month, I received some really bad news about my health and thought they would calm me down. Now I don't have enough to last until my next appt. Is there anyway I can do this on my own? I'm ashamed of myself for what I did, and I know I will pay horribly with side affects from not having them. Is there anything I can do to help myself? Is there anyway you can talk to your psychiatrist? Tell him her that u left your meds in a different state while visiting,
U r waiting for them in the mail, they still have not came.
Also if u have had the same doc and never reported stolen or have never asked for early refill
Those two things will make a difference when asking.
You are not supposed to go off xanax for apparent reasons, u can have a seizure
Is it possible to go to ER, tell them you 've been throwing up unable to keep fluids including your medicine for about 3days now. Hopefully that can tide you over, it is normal while being on that medication for a long time you need an increase of dosage. I was blessed to be able to increase when I had a psychiatrist.
I moved lost my psychiatrist finally trying to get off I'm on clonazepam, it seems to be doing nothing.
You may want to come straight with your doc and ask to be switched to clonazepam it lasts 8 hours vs. Xanax 4_6 hours. The way the DEA is scaring Dr s to prescribe it might be difficult.
I bet your doc Wil b happy to help get u off of xanax on to clonazepam, the withdraw l on top of anxiety will stop with the clonazepam. Good luck plz let me know what happens. I've been there .

These powerful dangerous drugs change the way normal people comprehend and justify actions. If anyone feels shame it's the profession that legit. Rx'd you these drugs for much longer then they were ever meant to be used for.They facilitated this behavior and should be held liable but we know that will never occur.
