Trilipix Side Effects After Years

Been on Trilipix for three years. Is it possible to develop side effects now. Muscle pain, leg aches, fatqiue.

Trilipix contains the active ingredient Fenofibric Acid.

Back pain, diarrhea, dizziness, headache, heartburn or indigestion, nausea, sore throat, stomach upset, and upper respiratory tract infection appear to be the most common adverse effects reported with Fenofibric Acid.

Other more serious side effects can include:

"Severe allergic reactions (rash; hives; itching; difficulty breathing; tightness in the chest; swelling of the mouth, face, lips, or tongue); calf pain, swelling, or tenderness; chest pain; coughing up blood; dark urine; decrease in the amount of urine produced; fever, chills, or persistent sore throat; muscle pain, tenderness, or weakness (especially along with fever or unusual tiredness); pale stools; red, swollen, blistered, or peeling skin; severe or persistent headache, dizziness, or lightheadedness; severe or persistent nausea, stomach pain, or vomiting; shortness of breath; unusual bruising or bleeding; yellowing of the skin or eyes."

NOTE: This however, is not a complete list of all side effects that may occur.

Based on the side effects you mentioned, I think that one or more of the ones listed above can also be related to inducing a feeling of fatigue or muscle pain. Indigestion, as reported to be a side effect above, can also lead to fatigue and cause aches throughout the body.

If these side effects become too bothersome, I would strongly recommend contacting your doctor about switching medications and/or trying some sort of natural alternative.
