There is no specific way a manufacturer is required to package a medication. While most use bottles, since it is cheaper, and more convenient, not all of them do.
What are the markings on them? Can you please post back with this additional information? That is what would enable me to double check the contents for you.
The FDA lists the typical side effects of this medication as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, increased urination, and hypotension.
