Treatment For Diabetic Nerve Pain

What is the best treatment for diabetic nerve pain other than antidepressants prescribed by the doctors?

Some people do very well with some anticonvulsant medications, such as Gabapentin and Pregabalin.

The FDA lists the typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth, mood swings, and weight gain.

They are also approved to treat certain types of nerve pain, and some mood disorders.

What are the patient's normal blood sugar levels?
