Tramadol Shortage (Page 5) (Top voted first)

Does anyone know of a pharmacy with tramadol available? I tried ordering it but everyine keeps telling me its out of stock and not available until after the holidays. I run out of my rx today and can't wait until after the holidays so any help is appreciate it.

Thank you!!!!!!!! Im so mad about this! Ive been on this medication for a long time and this is the first ever that I will have to go without. I have been slowing down taking what I have left so I do not go cold turkey to bad. I do not know what iam going to do :"( its scary!! How can they do this!? There are alot of people going to suffer from this! Is there going to be any tramadol for us? Or only after the holidays? Is that a promise?

Omg just great.... I cannot believe this!!!! Well I guess I'll will try to do what I can and ask my primary care physician to help me. So did you explain to you primary care dr everything and he obliged? Im scared to death to go through withdrawls. I almost don't even want to mess with tramadol anymore and deal with my pain another way. But I need to wean myself of of the tramadol first. Ugh happy holidays to us!!! Thank you so much for all your advice and in put. Guess I better prepare for the worst and if I can't take it anymore I'll call my old Dr. :""(

1. People have issues with pain and require medication
2. Responsible people place their orders well in advance for their refills.
3. People were relying on these suppliers.
4. These suppliers took the people's orders and charged their credit cards even though they knew there was a supply shortage. The websites sent acknowledgments that the orders were received and would be processed.
5. People took the websites at their word and believed that their orders would be filled.
6. The people later realized the orders would not be forthcoming.
7. People did not receive their medication on time resulting in seizures, acute withdrawal syndrome. and death in some cases.

The suppliers of the medication are guilty of unfair or deceptive acts or practices in addition to violations of other statutes and FDA regulations.

Had the suppliers (the web sites) informed the people at the time the orders were placed that the drugs were not in stock and if they refused to take orders and charge the people's credit cards, they would not be guilty or liable. But they did not.

I was in the same situation. I called my doctor and explained the situation. He wrote a 180 count prescription. Costs $28! I feel immensely better.

I would suggest you try this and just be honest with a doc. They should be empathetic. Either that or go to one of the clinics at Walgreens or Rite Aid and explain what is happening. Good luck

I received meds from {edited for policy reasons} last week. However, n orders are going through now. I have enough to get me through the new year and to taper off thank goodness but, does anyone know when the shortage is likely to be over and when reship will start again?

I am soooo tired of waiting and not knowing whats going on. I have several orders in all over the place. Health Solutions is one of them. I havent got one email that they have been processed, approved, nothing! I am so sick of waiting for an email saying it has been sent. Going to be a real great Christmas this year. When did u order from health solutions network? Good luck to you. I know EXACTLY how your feeling...

Mark's ignorance is typical. I take the medicine for Spinal Stenosis. I don't have insurance so surgery and expensive treatment (which usually doesn't provide relief anyway) is not an option. My Dr doesn't really want to prescribe Tramadol long term, but it works, and that's why I buy it online.

So, yes, your body does get addicted to it, but that is physics, not someone just abusing something. A smoker would go through severe withdrawals if quitting abrubtly. So would a drinker, or someone on any other medication or drug to which a tolerance is built.

Now you see how unintelligent and ignorant Mark's post is - just ignore the twit. Everyone is not an abuser; you don't need to "look at yourself", Rob. If you're managing pain and something like this happens, an abrupt stop is absolute torture. Call any Dr or go to a Walgreen's clinic and explain what happened. Any person with some level of compassion and understanding will help you.

If you don't mind me asking how many 50 mg tramadol were you taking a day. I'm down to 49 left with no idea if two orders I placed will ever come through. At my worst I was taking between 10-12 pills everyday. I've weaned down to 8 over past week. Been using them everyday for a bit over two years. I just wanted to see how susceptible I might be to seizures when I run out in about a week

Did you go to the hospital for the seizure? You should ask for your Dr for anti-seizure meds

I'm here with you guys. Placed an order on December 5th and all I've gotten was the "your order had been processed" email...then nothing. I call everyday but the call center is in India and all they do is read from a printed answer sheet. Not really addressing my problem except to say that there is a shortage and they are shopping for a pharmacy. I do know that a couple of pharmacies were shut down. A couple of big ones here in the US. We'll see what happens. I feel you guys on the withdrawl. It's getting better but not much. And my back is killing me.

Why are all sites only allowing us to order 90 pills instead of 180 pills?

What is the deal? Every single website is like this. It advertises 180, but when you click on it to order, it takes you to another page where it shows the max to purchase is 90 pills.

Can anyone elaborate on this???

Still not receiving any orders from HSN or cartadmin sites. Even though sites are saying they are accepting new orders as of today (Dec 26). This is a nightmare. Has anyone had an order ship yet?

Not yet but I do know that there is a pretty bad storm and a lot of the pharmacies that they use are closed today because of it. I'm trying to get ahold of someone at rxstore but can't get thru. I'll let you know if I hear anything.

Hey everyone, just wanted to let yall know I had an order from from the Dec 18th. Just abou an hour ago send me a shipping email with tracking number. I cant say if you put in an order today that it would be shipped out soon I might just be in the back order group. Ill give you more details if you want privately, Im a newbie to this site just FYI.

placed an order with the cartadmin site and went through the processed stage and approved but no movement since. This was a site that supposedly had stock but I guess not. Im ready to cancel and get my $150 back because I am pissed off that they charged that much to begin with. HSN isn't moving anything either, they only take orders. Cadence is the only source at the moment that appears to be possibly supplying. They are using LD 3 pharm dba Troy Pharmacy (the pharm that was popped in NJ and Pa). I will update my situation when receipt actually happens. Its off to the ER for me for a temp supply. street cost is too rich for my blood. speaking of Rich, he is responding and taking orders.
