Tramadol Shortage (Page 34)

Does anyone know of a pharmacy with tramadol available? I tried ordering it but everyine keeps telling me its out of stock and not available until after the holidays. I run out of my rx today and can't wait until after the holidays so any help is appreciate it.

@kb- trust me ive went thru w/d symptoms more than once. it does suck, and when youve got REAL CHRONIC PAIN it makes it so much worse. If your truly desperate there is 1 last option until you get you TRAM. u can research online. its called loperamide. u can buy it anywhere. i recommend reading and informing yourself about it 1st. but it helped me in my last bit of desperation until I got my TRAM. hope it helps.

@ Kay. the California Poppy Seed extract really does work for me, It relaxes me and almost sedates me at nite. Ive read a ton of people online take it for the same reason, (for pain) and that its just as strong as Narcotic PainKillers. U dont want to take it tho and then drive a car if ya know what i mean. but I usually add about 15-20 drops in Grapefruit juice in the morning and then a bit more at nite in some Chamomile tea. IT WORKS FOR ME! :)

You can go to any health sore and purchase it? Wow... that's amazing info. to know. I really need to have the stuff handy, bec. lately it seems every other wk. I need something for wd's It gets old. Thank btw.

@kb. with the Poppy Seed Extract, I add drops in Grapefuit juice. it works the best. it take about 10 minutes then kicks it. you may ave to experiment with it the 1st few time you take it to see what strength you need. Ive even taken it with the Immodium and it gets stronger, but I would do that for long periods of time. this is just to get you over thu hump til your TRAM comes, but really kb...both solutions work for W/D. they saved me...so i speak from experience!

It was only 10.00 . I had a shot of cortizone in my coccyx bone yesterday. Not a good time to run of tram.I have had 3back surgerys and im having pain with that also on top of the withdraw ls.

Yikers... back surgery is the worst. I can just amagine how you feel. Thanks for letting me know the price btw. Not too bad actually. Well, I hope you feel better soon. You're prob. attempting to relax, so no more questions... lol! Take care.

@kb I hope it works as well for you as it did for me. I had spinal fusion a few years ago, and was put on Lorecet. It was somewhat too strong for my stomach so they dropped me down to TRAM. it worked, and it worked well, but recently with TRAM becoming a controlled sub in NY now its so much harder to get, so when I cant get it, I use the Poppy Seed Extract. I usually take about 15-20 drops in the morning. then 30 b4 bed. works real good for me. knocks me out! let me know if it helps, also like i said the loperamide helped INCREDIBLY with all my W/D

Ok the poppy did kindof calmed me down. But it didn't help with the injection pain. I have been weaning down the last couple of days. The last one at 11pm last night so I will really need the poppy later.

Kb-the loperimide has worked great for me too ( in times or rapid/unplanned reduction in dose or flat out withdrawal) There is lots of info out there about taking really high doses, but it's really not necessary. A good rule of thumb is to take 3-4 at the same time as your usual dose tram. Loperimide is an opiate that does not cross blood brain barrier, but is most definitely reduces shakes,sweats and zaps. Decreases anxiety a little. As far as the insomnia, I use benadryl or xanax to sleep. Atomic fireballs candy helps too. They are coated with capsaicin which is a pretty well documented pain reliever. Take care. You'll get plenty of support here. Except of course phone numbers and sites to ho..lol

@kb with the LOP i do this: in the morning I take 1 Tagament AnAcid pill with a full glass of water. I wait about 10 min then take about 16mg of the LOP. each pill is only 2mg, so u have to take a few. you may have to take it in 2 swallows. alot of peeps take way more than that, some up to 30mg. I find thats way to much for me. that 16-20mg is plenty. you will feel an effect within 30 min. and for me it last A LONG TIME. not sure if it will directly help with the pain, but for W/D its a must. Then as i said b4 I take the Poppy Seed Extract b4 bed...the 2 together gives you a nice mellow-ness to help you sleep. when you wake you may still feel the effects after you eat. i would not do back to back days...it can be a bit strong if you do that. I have 3 different orders coming within the next few days. One of them I ordered on april 20 th than one on the 22.. one company said because on the high volume they were backed up and would take 3-5 days extra and one company said that they were having softwere problem s. Today they are shipping them. How convenient thet are coming from the same city. Now I know that they are all connect ed. Than the 3 one different city is also coming . The third one is from the # we had to figure out.. im goingto be set for a while and my back is going to behappy.I still have to wait but from the info from all you great people its a littlt easier. Thank you all.
