Torb Pet Tinic

Our cat started to limp on right front leg about 2 months ago. She is 11 years and is about 16 pounds. She limps worse after she jumps of the chair. The above medication was perscribed by the doc.
What is it and is it safe?

The active ingredient in this is Torbugesic, it is an opiod that is used to treat pain.

Unfortunately, I am not very knowledgeable about veterinary medications, their uses and possible safety concerns.

The only information I can find says that it can cause slight ataxia and sedation.

It is a form of Butorphanol:
