Topamax And Gout

I have been on 50mg of Topamax for weight loss and recently had what appears to be my first attack of gout. If it is associated with kidney stones, could it also be associated with an increase in uric acid leading to gout?

I have just finished taking topamax, and I can hardly move my left arm because of the pain of gout.Would be interesting to hear of anyone else.,

My fiance has developed what looks likes gout after being on topamax for about a week. After some googling i came across this:

There are rare occasions where this medication has caused blood clots in some people during treatment. I encourage you to consult your doctor to be certain of what is causing your issues, before just assuming it is gout.
