Time Release Xanax

my wife takes one 20mg lexapro at bedtime.She feels better at the time before going to bed than when she wakes up in the morning. would changing the medication to a time released aprazolam give her a more level relief from anxiety throughout the day and therefore have her feel better when she wakes up as opposed to taking lexapro or the regular aprazolam

What has her doctor advised?

You are talking about 2 different classed of medications here, an antidepressant and a Benzodiazepine, so they work differently.

How long has she been on the Lexapro?
