I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism about 8 months ago. I've been on 100mcg of Levothyroxine for about a month. Before I got on this medication, I was having trouble conceiving. Since I've been on this med I have had no trouble conceiving at all. It took me under two months to get pregnant. Now, I am a little over 6 weeks pregnant with my first child. I have no bad side effects at all. No chest pains or hair loss, etc. I have an anxiety disorder which has been much better since I've been on Levo. I don't know why it affected all of you in a negative way, but I'm doing great. Maybe you guys should check with your doctors or stop taking this medication or lower the dosage. ## You are correct that if they are having problems with it, they need to contact their doctors f...

Trying to find out if im taking levothyroxine -is it not a good thing to eat spinash and soy? does anybody know the answer to my question. ## I am a BSN student and just did a research paper on hypothyroidism. Dont eat soy or take vit. supplements with synthroid, wait 4 hours after taking med. both of these alter the absorption of your med. ## from what i hear lev. has soy i take it no weigt loss moody very ashy skin depress puffy joint pain and feet too soreness in back loss of memory trying to find armour no one knows where to get it? ## Soy products are bad for your medication. They don't let the levothyroxin absorb as much as it can. Try to avoid soy products or wait a few hours before having soy after you take you meds.

I was diagnosed with under active thyroid last November and have had my dose of levothyroxine increased in 25 mcg increments over the last 8 months. I have been on 100mcg now for approx 2 - 3 months. I am no longer falling asleep at 8pm every night, and my hair, skin etc is much better, but I now have really bad insomnia. I can't get to sleep till the early hours of the morning, and am also suffering from heart palpatations, restlessness and generally have an inability to relax. Help!!! ## The symptoms you are describing are actually warned about in the drug monograph, it could indicate that you are on too high of a dosage. Have you spoken to your doctor about this? You can read more on the medication here: And this link goes directly to the warnings:

I have been taking .150mcg of Levothyroxine for a few months now (been on several different dosages throughout the years) and when I went to have my levels retested this past Wed, the Dr told me that my levels were elevated so she was going to adjust my dose and call it in to my pharmacy. When I went to pick it up it was .175mcg...the pharmacist told me they upped my dose per day. This makes no sense to me. If my levels are elevated wouldn't they lower my dose? Could someone explain why this may be? Also, I am 6 months pregnant. Thank you! ## That does seem unusual, since this is usually used to treat low-levels of this hormone.
