I'm sorry to burst your bubble, but in my area we can NOT get 100mg, 200mg, 300mg, or 400mg. I am told ALL strengths have been discontinued.

Listen to this! They are discontinuing Theophylline and want to circulate Symbicord! Read what it does!

SYMBICORT is delivered through an inhaler and can help you breathe better starting within 15 minutes.

SYMBICORT will not replace a rescue inhaler for sudden symptoms. Remember, medicines with LABAs may increase the risk of asthma-related death, and should only be used in those asthma patients whose long-term control requires both an ICS and a LABA.

Once your asthma is effectively controlled, your doctor will decide if you can stop taking SYMBICORT and may prescribe a long-term asthma control medicine such as an inhaled corticosteroid.

*Your results may vary.

This is exactly what I was afraid of. Not being able to breath and ending up in the ER. My quality of life and independence is going to go out the door. I guess I will need to be on permanent disability and nog being able to work. Bound at home with oxygen? What is wrong with this country? Isn't there anyone who cares about us? I will need to get a lawyer and sue the pharma!

Hello, Terri! How are you?

I've not found anything about it being discontinued. Where you told that by a pharmacist or did it come from some other source?

There were a couple that were discontinued back in 2003, due to the fact that it's rarely prescribed, anymore. But I've not read anything in my various resources that the current one available is being discontinued. Though, a doctor or pharmacist may, admittedly, have more updated information than I do.

The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness and dry mouth.

Does anyone else know anything about this?
