Teva Vs Actavis Clonazepam (Page 2) (Top voted first)

Updated

I have taken Clonazepam for a number of years. It has always been the Actavis product. On my last prescription refill, the pharmacist arbitrarily switched me to the Teva product. Is this a problem? Which, if either, is the better product? Is there a product better than either one of these 2 mentioned above?

Re: Roy (# 1) Expand Referenced Message

I've been taking clonazepam teva for years for chronic anxiety and now they just gave me generic 3 1 brand. It is horrible and scary. I've got few tevas left but this new is bad. I don't know what to do

I have Actavis clonazepam Thor numerous here. And all the sudden I can't get it anywhere. Some are saying that they are not making any more. I know Teva had bought Actavis out. Now Teva's brand is on the market along with other ones and I'm having trouble finding one that will not give me bad reactions. TEVA brand does the total opposite of what it's supposed to do. It causes my heart to race so bad it feels like it's going to pop out of my chest. I don't have a history of heart disease. It doesn't calm me down at all. Can someone tell me if Actavis will be manufactured again?

Not true, urban myth. Chemotherapy drugs and antibiotics are made generically too, if that was the case people would be dying. Do not believe what people say about the Waxman Act. It has nothing to do with ingredients. Look it up.

Teva is the worst. I went into withdrawal from them once. Roche Klonopin - DAW.

Clonazepam is Clonazepam, generic drugs I have never had a problem with. Don't believe the urban myth that generics can be off as much as 10%, if that was true people would be dieting. Chemotherapy drugs are manufactured generically too you know.

My pharmacist switched me from Mylan to Teva, and the Teva product doesn't work. I reported it to the FDA. Several Teva products are currently under investigation by the FDA. I have had my doctor specify "NO TEVA" on my pharmacy record and all my scripts. Recently, I received Actav as a substitute, which is yellow (not blue) like the Teva product. I haven't take it yet, so I can't say if it works or not. My bet is that the Brand name (a blue pill) is the one that works. If you can afford it.
