Teva Lorazepam Reviews (Page 27) (Top voted first)

Updated

I'm seeking insights and reviews on Teva Lorazepam and its comparison with Leading Pharma's version. There's a notable divide in user experiences. Some report Leading Pharma Lorazepam as being less effective or having no effect, possibly due to variations in the active ingredient, leading to side effects or adverse reactions in certain cases.

While there are those who recommend Teva Lorazepam for its efficacy, others find Leading Pharma's version more suitable. Unfortunately, I haven't had the opportunity to try Teva Lorazepam since it's not available in my area – no local pharmacies dispense it.

My experience with other brands, post the discontinuation of Qualitest, hasn't been successful in finding a comparable alternative. I'm particularly interested in understanding how Teva Lorazepam and Leading Pharma's lorazepam differ in terms of effectiveness and user satisfaction.

If you've had experiences with either or both of these medications, your reviews would be incredibly valuable. Any insights into their efficacy, side effects, or overall satisfaction would greatly help me and others in our decisions.

Re: Richard H (# 470) Expand Referenced Message

Hey Richard, good to see you back on here.

Did you make a complete switch to Klonopin from Ativan? Sounds like it was going ok until these generic issues started to plague clonazepam too.

Hi guys, I still have the Ativan brand tablet, but it's expired in February 2022. Is it still effective if I use it?

The two pharmacies that did have clonazepam & lorazepam made by Teva....I guess ran out...now Teva is the ONLY manufacturer at every drug store and pharmacy in my area.

In my area it is the same, only Teva Lorazepam which is available in all pharmacies. About a hundred bucks. Then I tried it but unfortunately it didn't work for me. Looks like last year it was also made in the czech republic. Pharmacies won't think about this, good or bad, the important thing is they can be sold. I'm tired of asking them. The answer is the drug is exactly the same.

the quality of a medication does depend on how well it was stored. if you kept them in the bottle and out of the bathroom, etc. they should still be good.

"I'm starting to think that they are dumbing down benzodiazepines so we'll have to come off from them"

this is _exactly_ what I said a year ago! i completely agree. We all know xanax is problematic for some people - that says nothing about people or the other benzodiazepines.

I can tell you that ativan no longer works as well as it used to. At this point I do not care why; i just want this fixed. I don't even take ativan and this is upsetting me.

"I suffer from generalized anxiety disorder. I drink once a day with 1mg. [ ativan ] if you were like me, what would you choose?"

I would recommend 2 mg ativan. one in morning and one in afternoon with a prn of klonopin. instead of padding the benzos with alcohol. You should be proud that you can maintain honesty.

What would I choose! I would choose to not suffer from anxiety! ummm anyone else?

Yes, I switch to Walgreens to take this medication lorazepam 1 mg and it works like nothing. You might as well just take a cube of sugar it would probably work better. Definitely not a good medication.

Re: l0ft (# 479) Expand Referenced Message

thanks for your info. have any of you used teva recently? does it work. I have a question, before that I used watson if Teva was not very effective, could it be done if I added 0.5 ml and it worked? or stick with old doses but feel uncomfortable but will the discomfort go away by letting the body adjust to it?

Re: Buster (# 482) Expand Referenced Message

Keep in mind, everyone reacts differently to each manufacturers fillers.....I personally think Teva is weaker than the original Watson but my FIRST prescription of Teva was better....my pharmacist told me that was old stock....the old Teva was made in Israel....the new is made in the Czech Republic. That said......as far as I can recall...back in 2013, Watson was bought out by Actavis who kept the molds so their lorazepam still said "Watson" but not as clearly.....then Actavis was bought out by Teva who used new molds for the tablets but swear they use the original Watson fillers and ingredients...percentages of each is unknown to me.

Re: Moni (# 486) Expand Referenced Message

I’m sorry to hear about your terrible reaction to Teva. For me, Leading was horrid. Has anyone here switched benzos due to the bad reactions to generic lorazepam?

Re: Edward (# 487) Expand Referenced Message

It took me many months with each mfg to notice a difference but once i did it didn't disappear. Luckily no 'reaction' per se, just less effectiveness.

I have switched from lorazepam actavis 1x1mg to the brand name Ativan from another country with the same dose of 1x1mg. this has been going on for about 20 days but my head is a bit dizzy and my chest is still uncomfortable. this new drug only seems to work 80%. what should i do? will this condition disappear or any other suggestions?

I was given gabpentin2x300mg to replace 1x1mg ativan. I'm afraid to try it because it's not an anti-anxiety drug. is it safe for long-term consumption and can it replace ativan?

Re: Lex (# 490) Expand Referenced Message

Benzos bind to the GABA-A receptors and as far as I’ve seen Gabapentin binds to Voltage gated calcium channels. Therefore, even though it is an anticonvulsant, you will be in a world of hurt when withdrawal hits of course depending on how long and at what dosage you’ve been taking benzos. It has no effect on GABA receptors.

Re: Edward (# 491) Expand Referenced Message

Edward, I never really knew about gabapentin. I suffer from GAD. I use Ativan 1 mg once a day. I use Ativan for 12 years. is gabapentin worse than ativan on withdrawal? I'm also afraid of the side effects. which one do you think i should choose?

Re: Lex (# 492) Expand Referenced Message

I’ve never taken Gabapentin, but took Lorazepam for 18 years. You can’t and should never quit benzos CT. Thus, I would not switch to Gabapentin to replace Lorazepam. If you want to stop the Lorazepam I recommend switching to a long acting benzo such as Diazepam or Librium and read the Ashton Manual; search on Google for a free pdf download of it. Do you want to stop because it’s no longer effective?

Re: Edward (# 493) Expand Referenced Message

At first I used actavis / watson and on the first day of changing to another ativan it was very uncomfortable. now it has been going on for 28 days and feels better even though there is still a feeling of insecurity. a few days ago the doctor prescribed gabapentin to replace ativan. it looks like actavis has a stronger content than other lorazepam. are you still using generic lorazepam? from which company?
