Teva Lorazepam Reviews (Page 24)

Updated

I'm seeking insights and reviews on Teva Lorazepam and its comparison with Leading Pharma's version. There's a notable divide in user experiences. Some report Leading Pharma Lorazepam as being less effective or having no effect, possibly due to variations in the active ingredient, leading to side effects or adverse reactions in certain cases.

While there are those who recommend Teva Lorazepam for its efficacy, others find Leading Pharma's version more suitable. Unfortunately, I haven't had the opportunity to try Teva Lorazepam since it's not available in my area – no local pharmacies dispense it.

My experience with other brands, post the discontinuation of Qualitest, hasn't been successful in finding a comparable alternative. I'm particularly interested in understanding how Teva Lorazepam and Leading Pharma's lorazepam differ in terms of effectiveness and user satisfaction.

If you've had experiences with either or both of these medications, your reviews would be incredibly valuable. Any insights into their efficacy, side effects, or overall satisfaction would greatly help me and others in our decisions.

Is submitting an insurance agreement difficult or easy? if it is approved, our insurance payment increases or when you take the drug there will be an additional fee?

Re: Henry (# 459) Expand Referenced Message

Has the brand name been consistently good for you? I hope they don’t mess around with the formulation like they do with the generics. I was so good on Mylan. I wish they never stopped it. Have you tried Aurobindo? It worked for me from 2019-2022 but now there’s some change. The pill itself has a different color and taste. Should I try to adjust over time or do I ask my doctor for brand name? I hope he will do the prior authorization.

Yes! same problem happened to me. Plus excessive vertigo and major brain fog. I tried aurobindo last night but it was from ‘21 and seemed to do ok with it. Now i’m reading the formulation changed on that too so I’m not sure how that’s going to go if I try to fill it.
I have an order for lozenges but haven’t filled them yet. I do know that compounded seems to be alot stronger so I would take a little less than what you usually take.

Teva seemed okay when i first tried it. But on my 2nd prescription (2mg) 3x day.....it seemed different. I'm pretty sure i read it was made in Israel. But last time i had it renewed pharmacist told me it was now made in the Czech Republic. It could be my imagination but it just doesn't seem as strong.... i've been taking lorazepam for 40 years.

I can say Teva is total trash. For me it's the worst form of lorazepam I've ever taken. About the only thing I can say nice about Teva is it's keeping me from going into withdrawals. I've taken every generic form of lorazepam and Teva tops the worst of all. I'm starting to think that they are dumbing down benzodiazepines so we'll have to come off from them..How any pharmacy or pharmacist would sell any of these meds boggles my mind. Never thought I'd say this but at least Leading brand isn't anywhere near how bad Teva is for me. Seems like most of us are seeing one maker replacing another between 6 months to a year. Be nice if Brand Ativan was available in it's original form as well as Mylan or Aurobindo. Which now many of you are saying it's trash as well. Yes I'm on Teva as I'm writing this. Will be till this script runs out. This too shall pass.

Even Leading has become difficult to find. Sure seems like Teva has the narket cornered. I checked with a few independents, 2 Costcos, 2 Walgreens, CVS, my local Shoprite pharmacy, Target (which is really CVS, and Rite Aid....ALL stock Teva and nothing else.

The other day I had forgotten to take my dose of lorazepam around noon (minor emergency).....but I always carry a pill case with some old Watson (pre-Covid) in it. Though it must have been 4-5 years old....unrefrigerated.....omg, what a workd of difference compared to the present Teva!

They do now.....Teva clonazepam is ineffective for ne while Accord is much better. But i can only find Accord at one Costco and i have the feeling its the last of it as other Costcos carry Teva as does Walgreens and CVS.....my local Shoprite has something like 'Solco'?

Re: Richard H (# 470) Expand Referenced Message

Hey Richard, good to see you back on here.

Did you make a complete switch to Klonopin from Ativan? Sounds like it was going ok until these generic issues started to plague clonazepam too.

Re: Henry (# 471) Expand Referenced Message

No, I had complained to my doc about generic lorazepam I've taken for decades were just not as good as they were with the original Watson. He kind of said its either my imagination or anxiety is breaking through original dose I've taken for over 30 years....until next visit when 95% of his patients on lorazepam said the same thing. So he put me on 1mg generic (Accord) klonopin at night....it worked ..um okay....I had been waking up with high heart rates after REM sleep for about the same tome Watson sold its goods to Actavis. The clonazepam helped but the high hr was still there.....but when local pharms switched to Teva... i liked the color (I'm an artist) but never thought it was a different manufacturer....until the high heart rate was waking me up 6 or 7 times a night...when i looked it was Teva.....trying to find more Accord is getting futile.

Lex (# 472) --

You probably read this before but some of the locally own pharmacies can order the brand that you want directly through vendors or their warehouses. Whether they'll do it is the next thing. Being they are cracking down on benzodiazepines many may be reluctant to do so. At one time I had no problem getting this done. Times are changing y'all. Wish y'all good health and peace!

Hi guys, I still have the Ativan brand tablet, but it's expired in February 2022. Is it still effective if I use it?

The two pharmacies that did have clonazepam & lorazepam made by Teva....I guess ran out...now Teva is the ONLY manufacturer at every drug store and pharmacy in my area.

Re: Richard H (# 477) Expand Referenced Message

In my area it is the same, only Teva Lorazepam which is available in all pharmacies. About a hundred bucks. Then I tried it but unfortunately it didn't work for me. Looks like last year it was also made in the czech republic. Pharmacies won't think about this, good or bad, the important thing is they can be sold. I'm tired of asking them. The answer is the drug is exactly the same.

Re: Lex (# 475) Expand Referenced Message

the quality of a medication does depend on how well it was stored. if you kept them in the bottle and out of the bathroom, etc. they should still be good.

"I'm starting to think that they are dumbing down benzodiazepines so we'll have to come off from them"

this is _exactly_ what I said a year ago! i completely agree. We all know xanax is problematic for some people - that says nothing about people or the other benzodiazepines.

I can tell you that ativan no longer works as well as it used to. At this point I do not care why; i just want this fixed. I don't even take ativan and this is upsetting me.
