Teva Lorazepam Reviews (Page 23)

I'm seeking insights and reviews on Teva Lorazepam and its comparison with Leading Pharma's version. There's a notable divide in user experiences. Some report Leading Pharma Lorazepam as being less effective or having no effect, possibly due to variations in the active ingredient, leading to side effects or adverse reactions in certain cases.
While there are those who recommend Teva Lorazepam for its efficacy, others find Leading Pharma's version more suitable. Unfortunately, I haven't had the opportunity to try Teva Lorazepam since it's not available in my area – no local pharmacies dispense it.
My experience with other brands, post the discontinuation of Qualitest, hasn't been successful in finding a comparable alternative. I'm particularly interested in understanding how Teva Lorazepam and Leading Pharma's lorazepam differ in terms of effectiveness and user satisfaction.
If you've had experiences with either or both of these medications, your reviews would be incredibly valuable. Any insights into their efficacy, side effects, or overall satisfaction would greatly help me and others in our decisions.
Re: Verwon (# 1)
Has anyone tried the new/old watson/actavis/teva lorazepam? (Actavis bought out Watson back around 2013.....but kept the same molds so they still read "Watson)...Teva bought out Actavis last year.....changed the molds....but I wonder did they change the formula.

Pressed submit too soon... If you read documentation -

It indeed is made in czech republic... however it works pretty well.
Re: joe (# 209)
From Teva's website:
Where are Teva generics manufactured?
Many of our products are made in North America and by our parent company in Israel. The FDA inspects each of our facilities (inside and outside of the United States) to ensure our products meet the same FDA standards of good manufacturing practices as brand-name medications.
Re: Richard H (# 208)
costco says that the new teva is made in czech republic, dont know the truth but i would prefer my meds made here in america
Re: joe (# 207)
You are correct....the lorazepam by Teva is made in Israel and the United States.
Re: Richard H (# 191)
the old activus/teva was made in indiana i believe where the new teva is made in the chezk republic, will be trying it soon but not expectiong much
Re: BeccaD 333 (# 201)
was told today that teva and activus are two seperate companies now, was on the old teva/activus and worked fine but got the impression the old activus/teva will be phased out
Re: Ken (# 6)
Yes! Try the generic brand Teva…they work.
Re: Twig7 (# 4)
I was on the verge of sending my Leading tablets to a lab for testing, it was so bad. One thing I’ve wondered about is if some companies are introducing a time-release agent into the medication. My wife was given some Norco after a bad fall but got no pain relief…just a bad headache (this was in 2019).
I truly believe that this country’s obsession with assigning a negative stigma to these meds has produced liability-driven decisions.
Not for nothing but we need to stop calling a customer the pharmacist’s “patients”; they’re not doctors.
I’ve had awful experiences with Leading brand of generic lorazepam…and by that, I mean it has NO effect (it was prescribed for panic disorder). I was so desperate that I asked for name brand Ativan, only to find it cost $4,000.00 for 60 2mg pills!
I switched to Teva and they work the way they’re supposed to.
There’s another problem with all of this and I’d appreciate comments:
If a person gets used to taking 2 (or more) of the substandard Leading brand and then take the same amount of a brand that works, isn’t that the recipe for a lethal disaster?
Re: BeccaD 333 (# 201)
I had some suspicions it might not but i mixed some with the old Actavis 'watson' then had my wife distribute them in my weekly pill case but she noted where she put them and I made sure i never looked.....utterly no difference that i could tell...in fact a couple days i felt pretty good and i asked my wife if those days were Teva..she said yes....
Re: Richard H (# 189)
Does the new Actavis/Teva work? I am still using the one that says Watson on it. It is hit or miss

Re: Henry (# 183)
Bausch Health will some day deal with themselves for raising the price on a medication that "is not" brand name. Just like Mylan with the EpiPen. I know y'all have seen my post about Wyeth selling it to Biovail. They turned it into a generic. Bausch Health bought it and never changed a thing. It's a generic plain and simple. Is it effective? Yes but no where near what it used to be. Aurobindo is for me the best generic available. It doesn't bother me it's made in India.
Re: Charles (# 184)
Works better then all the other stuff available. Leading is the worst!
Re: Ken (# 6)
Leading does not work at all as Teva.
Re: Lou (# 2)
I agree with does not work at all.
Re: Margaret (# 192)
I used to have the same melting issue with the name brand back when I first started using it back in the early '80's. I found letting it dissolve under my tongue seem to get it working even faster than swallowing it intact. Of all the generics I've taken, the fastest 'melter' was Leading even though it was the thickest.
Re: Ken (# 6)
Right. It doesn't work.
Re: winjy (# 3)
They use it in hospitals because it works!!! When they send you home you can't find a drugstore that carries it. So now we are back to placebo or deviation of the required ingredients. Another cost cutting savings on their part not ours because we are the recipient of their greed. Think about it, how can the real one cost thousands of dollars and the generic cost a few dollars. Greed!!!
