Before about one month, one doctor physician advised me to take TELLZY -20 (Telmisartan) when he observed my BP 140/90, although i was advised by some other doctors not to take any medicine even if it goes up to 150/90. I am taking the medicine now since one month now and it was observed that the BP is normal in accordance with the normal agreed range. I want to get rid of the medicine and revive my usual morning walks. My age is 63. While i am taking the medicine, i feel uneasiness in my neck & head sometimes when i abruptly stand up and it was not previously so before the medication. Before the medication i used to monitor my BP daily twice by OMRON aparatus (automatic) at my residence and it was never above 150/90, and not less than 117/74. The average & usual BP accordingly ...

I have been taking Stamlobeta for the past 8 years and my blood pressure is quite under control. However, I was diagnosed with diabetes in 2010 and am currently taking Glycomet 250mg. As my fasting blood sugar levels are consistently above normal, my doctor recently advised me to stop taking Stamlobeta and start Telmisartan, 40mg a day. My question is; can I immediately stop Stamlobeta as my doctor suggested and take Telmisartan? Or alternatively, do I need to gradually reduce the dose of Stamlobeta over a two-week period before stopping it completely? If I need to taper off Stamlobeta, is it then safe to take half a tablet of Telmisartan, that is 20mg, along with 25mg of Stamlobeta? Please enlighten me on this subject.

My father (post CABG, 65 yrs) has been taking Telma AMH 40 instead of Telma AM 40 (which he took for a year or so post CABG) since last 3 months. Recently he was diagnosed with unexplained loss of electrolytes (hyponatremia, Na was 104 when detected, and corrected till 122). Can this loss be due to the usage of Telma AM or AMH? Rest of his reports are coming normal, so we are not able to diagnose the causative factor. ## Yes, it might be caused by the Telma AMH, which contains the active ingredients Telmisartan, Amlodipine and Hydrocholorothiazide. The Hydrochlorothiazide is a diuretic that's used to help remove excess fluid from the body, but when taking it, someone has to be careful that they take in enough fluid to balance out the loss, or dehydration and such loss of the electro...

Hi I want to no can I take insomulex with my blood pressure med. telmisartan 40mg but I take half of one because the 40mg is to strength for ## Hello, Vera! How are you? I'm sorry, but since the Insomulex is a homeopathic product, it has not been evaluated for interactions with actual prescription drugs. The best suggest I can make is to check with your doctor or pharmacist, they may know more about it from others that have taken it. I do know, however, the insomnia can cause blood pressure and cardiac issues, so it may be preferable for you to get it under control for the betterment of your overall health. What are your normal blood pressure levels?

none ## This product appears to be manufactured by Dr. Reddy's in India, containing the active ingredients TELMISARTAN + HCT. The HCT might actually refer to HCTZ, but that is just what the manufacturer listed it as. This medication is used for treating high blood pressure. It should reduce your blood pressure within a couple of weeks. Because it does not cure high blood pressure (merely keeps it under control) you may need to take it regularly, even if you feel well. Please follow your physician's advice in this case. Possible side effects may include: Diarrhea, dizziness, fatigue, sinus inflammation, upper respiratory infection. Telsartan-H can cause low blood pressure, especially if you are also taking another diuretic. This may make you feel light-headed or faint, especially...

I had open heart surgery in 2006 and taking Carca 6.25 morning & Night, Clavix As75 afternoon and Lipicure-20 mg, Cardace 10 mg in the night. Now I am given TAZLOC -40. Telmisartan tablets IP 40 mg instead of Cardace-10 mg to avoid cough at times. ## Hello, Thiyagarajan! How are you doing? If your doctor prescribed them, because they felt it wouldn't cause the dry cough, then the best thing to do would be to try them and see how they work for you. The usual side effects to Telmisartan may include nausea, dizziness, hypotension and stomach pain, but not everyone experiences them. Learn more Tazloc details here. Did you discuss your concerns with your doctor?

My age is 48 and my blood pressure remains at 150 past one year I am on telmisartan and amlodipine combined with bisoprolol 5mg. Suggest how to lower my blood pressure ## Hello, Krishna! How are you? What types of foods do you eat? If they are heavily salted and very fatty, that will play a role in causing your blood pressure to be high. It can also be affected by someone's being overweight and being sedentary. So, if you're carrying a few extra pounds, you should work on losing them, preferable via proper diet and exercise, since those both also play a role in lowering it. And have you talked to your doctor? These just might not be the right medications for you to take, you may need to try something else. ## Since last one year my bp is 150/75. Kidly suggest the remedy
