I was wondering if by using the drug Tecta if it causes weight gain or causes bloating or retaining water?

From what I can find, this contains the active ingredient Pantoprazole, which is a proton pump inhibitor that is used to reduce the amount of acid produced by the stomach to treat or prevent conditions, such as heartburn, ulcers, GERD and Gastritis.

And it can cause some gas and bloating, as a side effect, however, it is rarely known to cause water retention, but it has happened in some people.

Have you contacted your doctor? If it is causing you to experience fluid retention, you will probably need to try a different medication.

I was taking tecta and have also been stablized of methadone for 20 years..When taking the tecta it almost killed me combined with the methadone. I could'nt stay awake I was sleeping standing up I had severe nausea, short term memory loss, dizzeness.
This tecta is a very dangerous drug .It increased levels of ammonia in my liver along with severe bloating in my belly.Not to mention that the doctors thought i was high on other drugs a drug screen test showed a false posative for various drugs I:ve never done. This product is dangerous

I was previously taking Nexium and for some reason, I developed severe heat intolerance while on it. Wondering if Tecta would do the same? I'm going from Canada into Tennessee in the hottest time of year and I need to know. Last time I was sick half the trip

I have been taking tecta for almost 18 months now. This was because of stomach ulcer. Dose is 40 mg twice a day. I have been on methadone for about 9 months now. In the pass 3 months my tummy ballooned extremely. My legs and feet has extreme edema. I can barely do anything. Did you or someone you know experience this or similar. Any advice?
