Tappering Off Diclofenac

I am taking diclofenac and was wondering how long is safe to take it (75 mg twice a day) and when I am ready to stop taking it - is there a way the dosage is supposed to be decreased over time?

In regards to medications like Diclofenac, which is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory, there is no set time limit that is safe to take them.

Long-term use may cause damage or failure of the liver, or ulceration of the stomach, but there is no way to know if it will happen to any given person undergoing treatment.

And no, it isn't addictive like opiates, so a tapering usually isn't needed, though if someone has been taking it for awhile, they may experience some minor rebound effects.
