Taking Less Meloxicam Than Prescribed
UpdatedI started taking Meloxicam 1 week ago. It says to take one a day. Can I take one every other day? Or as needed? Also, how long should a person stay on this drug?

What has it been prescribed to treat?
This is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory and is usually prescribed to be taken as needed, but there might be some reason your doctor wanted you to take it regularly.
The FDA warns that it may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, increased risk of bleeding, and stomach irritation.
