Taking Seroquel After Having Malignant Hyperthermia

In 2009, I went to have a "simple elective procedure." I ended up almost dying. I was diagnosed with Malignant Hyperthermia. Is it safe to take Seroquel? They wanted me to go to UCLA for further testing, I was told that it involved quite a bit of pain. I chose not to go through with it. Not sure what I should avoid. Any suggestions?

Hi Stephanie,

Based on my research, some people have actually reported that Seroquel may cause Malignant Hyperthermia. I did read about someone's son losing their life due to what I just mentioned. Apparently, Seroquel can effect the Hypothermus Gland, causing the body to reach core temps. of 110 degrees. I would definitely speak with your doctor before starting this medication.
