Taking Etirocoxib With Glycomet

I've been taking Etirocoxib 30 mg daily for the last 3 years and am feeling that it helps my arthritis. But now I have diabetes type-2 and have been prescribed to take Glycomet GP 2 once daily. Can I continue to take Etirocoxib alongside the Glycomet, and if so, what may be the side effects? Is there an alternative to Etirocoxib 30 mg to overcome arthritis?

My patient is suffering from acute Rheumatoid Arthritis. She is feeling well by taking 30 mg Etirocoxib daily over the last two years. Her father is a diabetic and now she has been affected by diabetes. So my query was whether she can take both Etorocoxib 30 mg and Glycomet GP 2 together daily? Also whether taking etirocoxib has any thing to do with developing diabetes?
