If the Propranolol is causing you that many problems and your doctor won't help, then I have to say that it's time to get a new doctor.
You aren't obligated to keep seeing him anymore than he is obligated to keep seeing you. You are free to leave at any time.
You don't even have to tell him ahead of time, you can keep him on the back burner, so you still have this medication for now, while you start looking for another doctor. If you find one, then you can have your records transferred.
