Taking Aleve With Hydrocodone/apap
UpdatedI take hydrocodone-apap (10-325) half dose for back muscle spasms. Too much acts as a stimulant and results in insomnia. I discovered that combined with Aleve (1 pill) that I obtained entire relief. Unfortunately, I am stomach sensitive to NSAIDs. Do you have any suggestions for an anti-inflammatory that is not stomach sensitive? Acetamedaphine (Motrin) does not work. Thanks.

No, by their very nature, nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory medications cause excess stomach acid, so all of them can cause stomach irritation.
Have you discussed it with your doctor? Some people do well using a medication that helps reduce stomach acid, such a proton pump inhibitor, or straight antacid, when taking NSAIDs.

And Motrin does not contain Acetaminophen, the active ingredient in Motrin is actually Ibuprofen. Acetaminophen is the active ingredient in Tylenol.
