a doctor once prescribed a small round pink pill about the size of a 200 mg ibouprofen. it was prescribed to me for my gout and it worked very well as i took it only when i had an attack. i was out of town at the time and now i no longer have the bottle of the doctors name. please help.

The way a pill looks is entirely up to the whit and whim of the company making it, so unfortunately there are many, many pills on the market, both over the counter and prescription that could meet the description of a round pink pill.
The only thing I can suggest is if your in the area sometime, to drop by the building and see if they can pull up any medical records you had there. Likewise, I would think that any local doctor's office that you are currently at would be able to pull up your medical history and see what you took in the past. I don't know this for certain, but I would give it a try if I was personally in your situation. I hope this helps!
