Hi neena,

Based on your description, I'm not finding any specific details on "how to take" D-Shine tablets. But I do know that the active ingredient Cholecalciferol, is simply Vitamin D3; which can be taken with any sort of beverage. This I know from personal experience taking similar supplements.

As far as side effects go, taking "too much" Vitamin D can make the intestines absorb too much calcium. This, in turn, may cause high levels of calcium in the blood. High blood calcium can lead to:

-Calcium deposits in soft tissues such as the heart and lungs
-Confusion and disorientation
-Damage to the kidneys
-Kidney stones
-Nausea, vomiting, constipation, poor appetite, weakness, and weight loss

So as long as you continue to take this supplement as prescribed or stated on the packaging, you shouldn't have to worry about any of these side effects whatsoever. :)

I hope this info helps!
