Teva 30mg Vs Aurobindo Pharm Amphetamine Salts (adderall) (Page 12)

For several years I've taken TEVA 30mg Amphetamine Salts 2x daily with consistent positive relief. Focus and a feeling that I could have a productive day gave me a reason to get out of bed. On 8/21/2014 all that changed to nervous anxiety filled days staying home. What caused the dramatic change quickly became clear. The generic Adderall produced by AUROBINO PHARM which my regular CVS Pharmacy filled my RX with on 8/21 was less than effective it was exasperating the very symptoms for which it was prescribed. FDA is an ineffective bureaucracy controlled by lobbyists for foreign and domestic pharmaceutical companies making huge profits in generic drugs at the expense of the health and quality of life of others. The manufacturing of inferior or possibly harmful medications by greedy corporations will continue to grow until a strong GOOD DRUG coalition is formed. Tomorrow I know I will be calling my pharmacy, CVS Corporation, my Dr., and make a report to the FDA. I will also try my damnedest never to purchase a drug produced by AUROBINDO PHAR.

I found this post because I’ve been endlessly searching for an explanation to the hives/rash that is spreading on my arms and legs. The only thing that has changed, is I’ve restarted Adderall (was pregnant/nursing) and the manufacture of the generic pills I’m currently taking is Aurobindo. I never had an issue with Adderall in the past, and this is the first time I’ve had pills from this manufacturer. What antibiotic did you take to treat the hives?

I've tried Aurobindo dextroamphetamine, generic Adderall and generic Maxalt (a migraine medication). They are ineffective for me. I've had to switch to expensive Zenzedi because RiteAid (and other pharmacies) will only stock Aurobindo because it's cheap but considered bioequivalent. Aurobindo drugs come from India which may have something to do with it. Mallinckrodt (and Barr) dextroamphetamine worked great.

"Amphetamine salts" and "dextroamphetamine amphetamine salts" are the same thing. They are composed of equal amounts of amphetamine sulfate, dextroamphetamine sulfate, amphetamine aspartate monohydrate, and dextroamphetamine saccharate. Amphetamine is composed of dextroamphetamine and levoamphetamine. Dextroamphetamine has a greater stimulant effect and makes up ~75% of this medication.

Aurobindo did Nothing for me but make me sick.
Stomach pain and vomiting.
It's hell to find a pharmacy with a generic that actually works.
And what infuriates me is when the pharmacist tells me they are the same.

Look.up Aurobindo and see the number of recalls for quality issues. All the while you are being told they are bio equivalent when your experience is different. I can't find a pharmacy that will order a generic that works for me and doesn't make me sick

I completely agree with you. I've been on concertras time release 15, 38, 54 within only only three months. Then a switch to just Adderall 10 mg aurobindo . Horrible horrible experiences. I’m now trying 20 MG Teva. I hope it works because I’m a hot mess I can’t figure my life out. The switch dramatically f*** me up.

I have tried just about all generic Adderall IR.

While Teva is sometimes inconsistent, it is the best.

Whatever you do, never accept Mallinckrodt.

I’ve been taking Adderall for 16 years. Aurobindo is straight trash - it only took me one month to resolve to never get it again. Massive depression and anger like nothing else when it wore off. NEVER had that happen before. Shockingly, this month I got Teva 30mg IR and it feels like I took nothing. Teva is supposed to be a good brand. Give me back Lannett, Sandoz, whatever else please!

These absolutely wrecked my life last month. DO NOT ACCEPT THESE. Omg I’m not alone ?? While waiting to speak to my psychiatrist yesterday, I random lady in the lobby decided to ask me a strange question. “Did your adderall work for you last month?” I couldn’t believe it and began crying.
I blamed myself for a month as everything fell apart around me. This cannot happen! Others are not like me. I became a depressed recluse. Others are much more proactive…and can hurt themselves or others. This was a nightmare

I can verify that this ranges from Miami to the Palm Beach, Florida area. Do NOT accept these. If you can’t find other brands, ask your doctor to prescribe you a temporarily prescription for Vyvanse. That’s what my doctor did for me….and it was almost as if she was expecting me to bring up my experience. She immediately handed me a free 30 day supply of Vyvanse card.

Amphetamine aspartate monohydrate and dextroamphetamine saccharate are uniquely sweet.
These pills were not sweet and tasted like chalk

I vaguely remember the AMPHETAMINE SALTS formulation. I do not remember who made those... They where a generic substitute for adderall for a while...

This is totally random but this is exactly what I did but I didn’t even know it till just now. I had been taking actual brand Adderall dextroamph. 10 mg xr and I got a refill from a different Pharmacy but didn’t even realize it was a different manufacturer-Aurobindo same 10 mg xr. I never looked at the label. Today, after probably 8 weeks of taking the Aurobindo dextroamph. I pulled the bottle out of the cabinet and was just getting some to reload my weekly pill case and I noticed the name aurobindo. The last 2 months after switching and not even knowing it, I have had the worst “runs” I have had and more often than not but I thought it was what I was eating bc I have noticed a major increase in hunger which I thought was maybe a hormonal changes being 44 years old. I have also noticed, I have not felt like myself. I have felt reclusive, a lot more easily agitated, I have been short with my daughter and even with relatives and all along I thought it must be hormonal. Had blood work done and hormones are 100% healthy and normal. Why was I suddenly crying for no reason, angry when I had to wake up to take my daughter to school, suddenly not as involved with my child’s studies, room mom stuff and her sports, like I have been her whole life up until 2 months ago, right when I started this stuff. I’ve been feeling like a different person. I own a small kids entertainment business and we are booming now but I have been slacking, not like me, So I am someone who went from taking brand to Aurobindo without even knowing it. Brand for 20 years, never felt like this that’s for sure. So from my experience not knowing and just looking online today, I’m gonna have to say I don’t think people are just making this up. When I get back on my Brand Adderall and off this here soon, I will post again bc I really hope the way I am feeling is just from this Aurobindo and not anything else going on. I have no reason to bash any company but if this is the cause of such a sudden drastic change in me, a healthy, happy person who’s life feels somewhat upside down at the moment, then I feel like people deserve to hear my experience because maybe they will catch it a lot sooner than I did if they are feeling similar to me and can find something that works better for them.

Adderall is the brand of Mixed Amphetamine Salts. Mallinckrodt, Teva and Takeda produce the generic version; Takeda only the XR form. (This list is probably incomplete.)

Uhgggg, that Mallinckrodtis THE WORSE!!! I had my Dr. rewrite my prescription so that I could get another mfr. I got Teva from Cosco here in Orlando but the crash is the worst. It has me so irritable. The Auronbindo was actually perfect for me.
