T 194 Yellow Pill (Page 2) (Top voted first)

Updated

I have a T 194 yellow pill that says it's a percocet 10mg, but when taking it, it made me feel super weird and my chest hurt. Is this a possible side effect?

Most of u should prob know by now. ANY change in the meds u take will require “burn-in” period, even the slightest difference be it “inactive” ingredients (altho in reality the synergy with the actual meds definitely makes it active) or the active med ingredients themselves. IE: change in food dye color or amount of alcohol in them. Any of it will cause ur body, programmed for years to expect and tolerate a different combo, to react differently until it adjusts. The rest is mental. Give it a few days/weeks (for the most sensitive patients and / or the highest doses, maybe longer).

By law - and by maintaining strict standards- not by best effort these meds must have at least 8mg to 12mg of the main ingredient. Its possible they have a couple less mg’s in a few of the pills but for the most part will be consistent with the other generics and close enough to the brand name to be considered effective and acceptable. I too just for these today and I went a week without my meds for 1st time in many years (not by choice!) and believe me they work and fixed me right up. Even still, i was worried when i saw them at 1st, being a week off I could not WAIT to get them, and then I saw something foreign. And even while thinking the worst but hoping for the best, I felt near instant relief from the pain and overall my heavy legs became light again. Pep back in my step. Motivated and pain free again, within 30 min I was totally at ease and all the negative mental and physical anguish was lifted.

I get that it was prob hard if you did not have a break in between brands, as you can more easily tell the difference. But thats because of my 1st points. For 90/95% of you, just need to adjust to the new formula, i promise. Every day will be better, until you fill receptors and the body learns to handle the new/changed formula. The rest may be sensitive to something like the D & C yellow for instance. (Note its not FD & C like the other colors and strengths, the 10mg uses D & C color, found this interesting myself)

PS- if anyone has had the yellow (“bananas”) percocet brand Then they prob felt good to see yellow instead of white at least at 1st, because at least in the past yellow = good!

Ironically, I felt the opposite you do - the 1st time i was switched from those yellow brand to the white generics you guys are used to, I felt like you do now. But that eventually passed, i adjusted, And the same willingly happen for most of you if you end up stating on these... If not, i hope u find relief and comfort asap or a better alternative.

It probably is the naloxone. It did that to me alone with nausea and a bad headache. It's called the "Intelligent drug delivery system". When I took the T194s I researched the IDDS and as long as the pill is left whole when you take it, the naloxone is not released until it's coming out the back door. I don't buy this. How else are they keeping you from getting the opioid feeling? All the side effects everyone is getting are the side effects of naloxone. Google oxycodone/naloxone. The IDDS was patented around 2014.

A study was done on 600 people that took the pills orally as prescribed and the most common side effect was nausea and vomiting. The only way to get the meds without naloxone in it is to be in a hospice house or in a hospital. The T194s and all others will be the same so get used to it or give it up. The GOVERNMENT has spoken.

With a bad hitch it sounds like you're allergic to the fillers in that pill the fillers would be new because the old oxy acetaphetamine combination could be a little bit more money for the pharmaceutical company to use this could be a cheaper filler that they're using with a new company who knows

Joe oh my gosh, finally someone who also is aware of how when Watson made them, they worked. I think I know why they named the replacements 333. It's because 1 watson was as strong as 3 of the Actavis. I cleaned out a closet and found a single, old Watson. I thought, dare I? Well waste not, want not, so for my next dose I took the 2 year old "lost" & found, single Watson pill. It literally reminded me when I had thoracic back surgery and had been on 30 mg Percocets! At least so, when compared to the weak A333's. Dr. Oz says generic brands may have anywhere from 80% to 125% of a drug, than the original non generic. So A333's and T-194's are allowed to have 20% less oxycodone than original Percocets. My theory is that Watson's generic Percocet had 125% or possibly 12.5 mg Oxycodone in a pill labeled 10 mg. And this made that pill very popular. But a funny thing happened on the way to the oxycodone store... people became total subject and slave to whatever cheapest generic say Walgreens could find. So Watson, by way of having extra medicine and quality product, priced itself out of the market. Then comes A333 or T-194 probably having only 8 mg in tablets labeled 10 mg. Let's review what may have happened: Watson 10's = 12.5mg. T-194 10's = 8mg. This means that legally, some generics (Watson?) could have had FIFTY PERCENT more oxycodone than say T-194's. Bingo, there's your answer. This post is theory only and I'm not accusing any manufacturers of any wrongdoing.

Then they wonder why the heroin epidemic is bad. People need relief from their pain and some, unfortunately, will resort to heroin.

I've been on Percocet for 15 years, with the only side effects of nausea and dry mouth. I picked up my Percocet from Walgreens and started taking it over the weekend. It is not working at all for my pain it feels like I am going through withdrawal symptoms and getting itchy, burning skin, rashes, and my anxiety is through the roof. There was a note on the slip from Walgreens that says "may look different". After having issues with it I tried to find it online and can't. It is yellow, oblong and stamped T-194. Walgreens said there is nothing we can do about it. I'm now stuck without medicine until next month.

Do you have a CVS near you? I went there after having the same problems and they were glad to help me. I haven't had any problems with the ones they gave me and they were white manufactured by rhodes pharma. I explain to them how I was feeling with the ones I got from Walgreens and they said absolutely that they could be making me sick as to where Walgreens said no they couldn't have been making me sick. As you can see from reading all of these messages on this website they're making a lot of people sick.

Re: Poohsy (# 56) Expand Referenced Message

First of all, if you check the FDA website somewhere on there in VERY SMALL PRINT it will let you know legally ALL GENERIC MEDICATIONS CAN BE UP TO 20% LESS ACTIVE INGREDIENT & STILL PASS FDA STANDARDS! Meaning a generic 10 mg anything can & often IS actually 8 mg! Even though the label still reads: 10 mg!

Although I know for certain Walgreens (not even the pharmacy mgr) pharmacy cannot order another generic brand for you (or anyone) and the reason is simple : Walgreens pharmacy corporation has obviously made a huge deal with these pharmaceutical company which is saving them a ton of money /making them a ton of money and have an agreement with this pharmaceutical company to exclusively disperse ONLY their medications!

However, all the fillers are NOT exactly the same in each generic medication made by different pharmaceutical companies and every pharmacist is well aware of this! Personally, I feel it’s extremely condescending when a pharmacist speaks to me as if I’m a clueless child or an uneducated imbecile simply because I take prescription medications (which provides them with a career need I mention?!) and I have a concern, question or complaint regarding a new prescription medication I’m going to be putting into my body every day! This infuriates me to no end!!

I’m deeply sorry you and everyone else on this thread is having all of these issues. I refuse to owe Walgreens or especially CVS (the CVS pharmacists across the US are over-riding doctors, pain mgmt drs, specialists and even surgeons writhing pain medications for patients, I simply find this appalling! Yes, pharmacists are extremely knowledgeable regarding medications however, they do not attend college or complete internship to become doctors or surgeons nor do they have any idea what specifically that customer before them has that prescription for, how dare they limit that person to a 7 day supply of medication forcing that person who may have just had surgery or be in daily pain, may not have trusted family members to assist them, to return every 7 days to refill their 30 day prescription!)

I’m very sad to watch Kmart pharmacy around the US close down, I was a Kmart pharmacy customer for over 5 years and never once treated with disrespect, never once did they use pharmaceutical companies well known for making less than stellar generic medications or did they not have any of my prescriptions on time for me.. so I know it’s possible!

Re: Poohsy (# 157) Expand Referenced Message

Poohsy, good advice. If their is something in the ingredients that he is allergic to, the benadryl should offset that. Plus it would help if he could ask around to find out what brand is carried at different pharmacies, then he could make a choice. The pharmacies are reluctant to answer questions as to the brand of generic opioids. Usually have to ask in person, explaining that you have an upcoming script and need to avoid the Camber pills, due to upset stomach, headaches, etc. Being matter of fact, pleasant, well groomed is a must. Do not complain about lack of potency. Stick to possible allergy to fillers.

What I don't understand is how is it that people can just change up their pharmacy. Is it because it is a new script every month? I thought changing pharmacies is a big no no. That to change or shop for a better one, with a better generic is pharmacy shopping and not allowed. Is there a way to do this without being flagged as a seeker?

Of course, in my view we should be able to seek better generics and better service, if we are not satisfied with our experience at the one we have stated as our primary pharm.

I have been told the same thing about the independent pharmacies. We only have one here in town but that would be my next move if things don't work out at Walgreens.

We are all so individual so what makes one person ill may be great for someone else. All I can say is that if a brand makes you really ill, you will never want to see it again! And it used to be years ago, if you got something that made you sick, the Doctor could just issue you a new script for something else. Now that they cannot do that anymore, you would risk being without for the entire month.

This is how ridiculous these pharmacy rules have become. My husband has had severe bronchitis for a couple of weeks now and it just continues to hold on. He gets to coughing so bad at night it kinda scares me. He saw the doctor a week ago and gave him antiotics and cough syrup with codeine. The cough syrup has really helped at night. I called the doctor to let them know that he is still having symptoms so they sent out a different antibiotic and a refill on the cough syrup.

I always google any meds and check them out before we take them. It said doseage for age 12-adult was 2 teaspoons or 2 5ml every 6 hours. He was home from work so he took it that way. When he went to refill the cough syrup it showed too early to fill because the doctor wrote instructions on the bottle to say 1 teaspoon every 8 hours! So he can't refill til Monday. I thought about calling the doctor and pointing out what happened but he doesn't want me to. So he will suffer thru the weekend with OTC cough meds. It's like there is no common sense anymore. Not a huge deal but it's just one thing after another anymore. All this is only making it difficult for us who are doing everything legally. Ones doing illegal things will always find a way around the laws.

Hello to all of my fellow pain sufferers. I may not write in on this thread every day, but I do read this thread almost everyday. My heart goes out to all of you. I went to my pain management dr yesterday, lol management, I tried to explain to him that it's really messed up when the patient has to walk on eggshells to discuss pain and how big red flags go up if we even mention the dirty four letter word DRUG, and how the anxiety level goes up just walking into a building knowing that you may be walking out without a prescription. HE told me that my condition should not be giving me this much discomfort. Hmmmm, 5 bulging discs in the neck, one of those is smashing up into my spinal column, one disc in the middle of my back is severely bulging and also smashing up on spinal column, failed spinal fusion, L4-L5 chronic sciatica. Happy happy joy joy. He said that my depression is causing my pain!!! I said, well maybe if I wasn't in soooo much pain I wouldn't be so darn depressed. He actually asked me if I was going to forget if I took my pain pills and overdose! I couldn't believe he said that. Of course we all know about the ga-jillion people out there overdosing due to forgetting that they took their pain meds. In my opinion, if you're that forgetful, don't know how to manage your meds, you need help and should not be dispensing your own meds!

My pain dr also told me that I was lucky to be getting any pain medication, due to the new government rules. Yup that's our government. Maybe next time I get sick I will go stand in front of the big White House and ask for help, cuz the way I see it, if you are disabled and need pain pills to function, your dr no longer gets to make those decisions. Yup, he told me that the government has issued new ways of treating pain!!! Un-freaking believable. What has this country done? I feel like we live somewhere other than America. It's ok for people to drink alcohol and kill, it's ok to buy guns when you are on antidepressants, it's ok to kill yourself smoking cigarettes, how come they don't take the alcohol out of alcohol??? How come they don't take the harmful poison out of cigarettes? How about making people that want to buy guns go to a clinic that puts them through scrutiny and looks down on them for even mentioning the word gun? Seriously, I'm so fed up with being treated like a criminal and to tell you the truth, I worked a prison, they were treated better and with respect. I appreciate that I have this thread to vent. My prayers for a better day, for all.

Re: Bubble wrap (# 200) Expand Referenced Message

You have certainly touched many of the very important issues regarding this epidemic. I wrote an email in response to an email that I received regarding my "support for our president" and it asked if I had any concerns, hmmmm, where do I even start. YES I have concerns, concerning the unethical treatment and crewel way chronic pain people are being flushed down into a swamp of dirt. Seriously, there is something wrong with with this whole epidemic mess when our government is guiding the dr's on how to treat their patients. Why are addicts getting more protection and more funding and more sympathy?

Who decided that pain is due to the way your mind "thinks" of pain? Who decided that chronic pain is a figment of our state of mind? I would love to give that high paid high funded panel of experts a piece of.... oh but wait, my mind doesn't work. I need to hire a professional mind expert to tell me to take all of my imaginary pain and stuff it into a big red balloon and watch it fly away! I feel better now, think I will start a new hobby or go climb a mountain for some fresh air! Lol, this is insane, just heard on the news that heroin and hepatitis C are on the rise, I wonder if they are going to cure that with the mind? I will let all of you know if I receive a response from my email. Do you think they care? Peace out.

Re: Poohsy (# 208) Expand Referenced Message

Yes, Poohsy.....dont know exactly know why I am shooting these posts to you...but I am. Maybe because you kindly held out your hand my way.

Anyway, to the topic of pain meds, lol. Just got a note from my primary caregiver's main office. So, it seems, not only have I lost my primary caregiver, she went home to care for her family....but I've lost my PA, for various reasons, who has taken over my care. Now, I am at the mercy of yet another PA at the office. She could so easily palm me off to a pain management doc, instead of continuing the care I receive at that office. When I lost my primary care doctor, I set up an appointment with PA. She agreed to treat me, with one script a month. Oxycodone 10 mg., every 4hrs, 120 max for each month. I was satisfied and have found that I can easily make that script last most of the month (or even all) though technically, a 20 day supply. Yes, generous, I realize that. I faced that appointment with a fair amount of fear and trembling, but it actually turned out fine. That was 2 months ago. Now, I am hoping the 2ND PA, at the same office, will be open to continuing that care, which was agreed upon by the first PA, but that may be a bit hopeful. I was fortunate the first PA agreed to it. I don't know what's going to happen. She (second PA) very well may choose not to care for me. Can't say I would blame her, but still, I do hope she doesn't dump me. Of course, since this is hitting so close to home, I am seeing why there are so many pleas for help finding a compassionate doctor who will prescribe the meds that allow for a level of functionality that our meds make possible.

I have a different perspective now that my own meds are in jeopardy! I know, kind of sad that it takes a personal threat to my personal wellbeing to get me to see the pain and suffering others are facing right now. To be at a complete loss as to where one can find the care they need is a terrible thing. Now I know. And now I will not only pray for myself but include all who are in this same predicament. It scares me, because this is my first real threat. My well being will be placed in the hands of a complete stranger. The well being of others on this forum is also in the hands and at the mercy of strangers. It is a terrible feeling and I am ashamed that my compassion for others has been so flimsy. But...this has been a valuable lesson for me. Sadly, it's NOT all about me. It's about ALL chronic pain sufferers. If I had the power to see that all in need would get what they NEED, I would. At this point I'm not at all sure what to do with me let alone counsel anyone else as to what recourse they may have for their own dilemmas. There are many out there with more serious issues than I have. I will not list my issues.....but I know there are more deserving sufferers out there. I am not a user without valid and validated issues, but I am one of many. May God help us all. Because I know I haven't the power to see you all get what you need, but again, I am glad my eyes are now wide open and not only focused on ME.

Okay, I admit the "As Seen on TV" thing is kind of a red flag, but my compounding pharmacist (for progesterone the past few years) told me this week about an OTC product called "P.E.A." (google "peacure") that is helping a lot of people ALONG WITH their regular pain meds for pain. I have not tried it, have absolutely NO interest in promoting something I haven't tried, but my compounding pharmacist was encouraged by the results patients report they've had w/ adding this supplement (?) to their pain med regimen. I'll definitely be checking into this.

My PCP, who has rx'd my pain meds for about 5 years now (w/ a "break" due to a literal "break" of my right radius/ulna last summer & his bowing to the orthopedic surgeon & then the PM specialist when I developed RSD (not my first rodeo w/ that nightmare!) until late November when the PM "specialist" (who said if you take opioids for 30 days, you're an "addict"... BS!) released me from my "contract" w/ him back to my PCP. (God bless this man!) I don't take pain meds to feel high. They don't get me any kind of "high"! They simply allow me to function for 8-10 hours a day, much of the time on my feet. I don't need them every day. In fact, I've found that Voltaren tablets, 2 in the a.m. only, have greatly reduced my chronic pain the past week or so but have nearly destroyed my G.I. system from beginning to end, so to speak, so I have to find something that will work (to at least a measurable extent) w/o the G.I. side effects (i.e. opioids)! There are topical versions of Votaren w/ "enhancers" like DMSO to make them more absorbable, but so far they've not helped me nor can I APPLY the solution to THAT many places on my body.

My PCP has agreed to rx a compounded version of hydrocodone & acetaminophen (my rx the past 3 years or so has been generic Percocet but b/c of what everyone else here is experiencing... it has all of a sudden (last couple of months) become virtually ineffective).

I do NOT think this is a tolerance issue as my tolerance has always been high but has not increased significantly in years... but rather due to whatever these generic companies are doing to their drugs... either they're cutting back on the active ingredient, the quality of the active ingredient, or maybe the fillers (or additives... which were an issue w/ my deceased mom & me), but for the past 3-4 months I've had little pain relief. I am eager to see how the compounded version (paid out of my own pocket... heck you, insurance companies!)... will work. I will report back. Hopefully a higher quality "active ingredient" and no ridiculous "fillers" will make the difference. I shall see!

Update- After many years using Walgreens I finally switched pharmacies. Tired of getting cheap ineffective medication for ridiculous prices. Camber is garbage and now I’m sure of it. I gave their generic Percocet several months to help with my pain, (caused by cancer BTW) and after being told all my side effects and lack of pain control shouldn’t be happening because it’s the same medication just different brand. I took all of my scripts elsewhere. The first day on new brand Aurobindo, I slept like a baby. No pain! I actually felt a little high because I don’t think I was getting much of the active ingredient oxycodone all those months while on the Camber brand. A couple days of adjustment and I’m now feeling back to myself. O and not one side effect. Boycott Walgreens and any other pharmacy that chooses cheap medication over their customers health.

Camber is an awful manufacturer. I am registered as a life long patient of pain management due to a morbid, very painful disease and Crohns disease. I've been genetically tested, receive disability, and have lived for many years a pretty good quality of life. There was a time about 8 years ago Walgreens changed to Camber, even for the 5 mg oxycodone without Tylenol, and it was obvious there is little pain management in the off-brand. It also made me feel very weird. I immediately changed pharmacies until Walgreen's contract with Camber expired at the end of the year. This year, Walgreens contracted with Camber again, and as I'm now given the oxycodone with Tylenol (due to the drug wars) I am now back into my wheelchair! How sad that due to a bad manufacturer, I am using a wheelchair for accessibility at times. And I am in pain. The experience violates the ADA, and keeps me from living life as I have. It is a horrible brand.

And, due to the current drug wars persons who have true medical needs for pain management are suffering because other pharmacies simply won't fill our prescriptions. There are few, if any, choices in pharmacies that will honor lifetime pain patients. I've increased my dosage to 10 mg now and it controls pain comparably to a quarter or half of a 5 mg. Oxycodone by the old manufacturer, mallencroft, I believe it was.

Thus, it seems to have very little pain control ingredients and strange composition. As I said, Camber has been around a long time but is simply inferior at best or made incorrectly without medicine to increase profit at worst. Perhaps, both. I like to keep all my records at one pharmacy only through the years, and Walgreens is being braver than most others during these political times of not giving a care about the disabled or I'll or aged, but I can't move.

We may need a class action to challenge Camber. Twenty plus years ago, veterans returning from war and persons with PTSD received a brand of ativan with no medicine in it. My husband was treated as if he were up to no good when the medicine didn't help his anxiety and panic attacks. He simply stopped using it rather than be labeled a person trying to get more or a person more emotionally wounded than he was. A few years later, we received a class action notice in the mail stating the brand had no medicine in it and we were refunded our insurance co-pays. It didn't make up for what he went through taking a bad drug, but it was validating. It also stopped the fraudulent medicine from hurting others and being contracted by pharmacies.

Indeed, manufacturers can manipulate the system and provide fake, altered, or low quantity ingredients in poor quality medications.

Good luck to you all. It is not you. Camber is a very bad brand.

I had the same PROBLEM with CAMBER GARBAGE. Reported to MFG, FDA, no response. I have contacted a few LARGE law firms about a class action, if they respond, many don't, answer is NO CASE, REALLY, BS the fix is in for pharma. Screw the patients.
