Symbyax Side Effects

My husband has just been prescribed symbyax. He has very bad mood swings. His psychiatrist prescribed this medication to help with them. However, I am very worried after reading posts on weight gain and sleepiness. He drives a truck.

Symbyax contains Fluoxetine and Olanzapine, it combines an antidepressant and an antipsychotic, it is mainly used to treat depression that has been resistant to other medications, or depression associated with bipolar disorder. Its typical side effects can include weight gain, drowsiness, headache, and mood changes. [1]

As to his driving, it might depend on your state laws, many have restrictions on what medications a driver can take while working.
