Switching From Brentillix To Effexor (generic)

I've been on brentillix for about 3 weeks. It HSS been a God send, up until about a week ago. I woke up with s severe headache that had literally lasted all week and, no OTC pain meds have worked. Also, the med is insanely expensive! Talked to my Doc and he called in the generic of Effexor. Will it work the as well for the depression/anxiety as the Brentillix did? Reading this forum has caused me to be really discouraged. Any insight would be greatly appreciated!

Hello, Lamb chop! How are you?

Effexor contains the active ingredient Venlafaxine, it is an SNRI, so it's a little different than the Brintellix, but still similar. It is approved by the FDA to treat depression and anxiety, it's successfully helped many people.

It's typical side effects are listed as possibly including nausea, dizziness, dry mouth, headache and weight changes.

But the only way to see if it works for you is by actually trying it.

Is there anything else I can help with?
