Sulfur & Cream Of Tartar Wafer (Top voted first)
UpdatedYears ago, given to each of us once per day for keeping mosquitos from biting & if they bit us, would not cause problems.
Where can I find Sulfur and Cream of Tarter Wafers? I took them as a kid and never had any problems with bug bites and ticks and we played in the woods every day. As I got older I never had acne. I wanted to have my daughter try it, but can not find them. They were a little flat wafer about the size of a quarter and chewable. The taste was not bad at all....and a somewhat sweet. Can someone help me find this product if it exists?
This is a bit late... if anyone is still looking for the sulfur & cream of tartar wafers. There is a company still making them: Dews 21st Century 1.940.325.9284. The product is called Red Arrow Lemon & Cream of Tartar with Sulfur. Hope this helps. Sorry I just found your blog.
Linda, glad to see that someone besides I remembers these wafers. I still have not found them anywhere but I will keep checking smalltowm pharmicies & hopefully locate them somewhere!!! I just know they were wonderful!
I took them frequently most of my childhood and never had any problems with sores, acne, or problem with misquitoes. I played outdoors every day and we lived in a very woody area. Never remember getting mesquito bitten. I was told it was a blood cleanser as well.
Anytime us kids started to get a boil our Mom had everyone take some for a week and that cleared any outbreak completely up for a year or two. Hiding this wonderful wafer seems to be by large drug companies that want to charge gigantic prices for other crap that doesn't work. If I can't find them before long, I'm going to start experimenting adn make my own. I can still remember their taste adn I guess I'll go by that!
Hi - Don't know which website you are clicking through for the Red Arrow wafers from Dews 21st Century products, but I just tried the www.DewsVitamins.com website and was able to put them in my cart. Hope this helps.
The pharmaceuticals have control of everything...makes me sick to my stomach. It is all about money. They don't care about our health. I also remember the taste and there is nothing like it. Let me know if you decide to make them. I would be interested in what you used.
I found this recipe but it does not include the cream of tartar. Let me know if you locate something. As you said, they were wonderful!
• Mix 1/8 teaspoon of powdered sulfur with a little honey or molasses
• Take this mixture once a day for a week in early spring.
• The next week take it every other day.
• The next week take it every three days.
• Thereafter take the mixture once a month through tick season.
I am looking for them also, cannot find, we took them if sores wouldn't heal.
I found out that McKesson made the wafers. I contacted them and they no longer make them and don't know anyone that does.
I meant I went to Dews 21st Century web site and tried to click on the Red Arrow sulfur/cream of tartar, to no avail.
The site that carries the pills is called "lemoncreamoftartarwithsulfur". He doesn't take credit cards as he doesn't want to pay their fees. You send him a check and he sends you the pills..Maybe I have typed enough for the computer to allow me to move on with my life as if this doesn't work, I am done trying to pass this info along... Good luck
for boils ,skin problems you used to take the cream of tarter tablets. The active element is SULFUR!! It is element 16. A mineral and can be used orally. For replacement of the tablets just use the Sulfur powder! works! abt .1mg /day for boils. (1/8 tsp). Virtually NO one is allergic to sulfur only to the Pharma substitutes!! There were no side effects using the cream of tarter tablets ergo no side effects using the active element "sulfur"
Sulfur is a mineral. It is not poison and in small (reasonable) quantities can be taken orally. Why? because it provides a natural skin insecticide to prevent mosquitoes from "biting" U. A brilliant post on this site states the Zeka Virus problem can be taken care of by just the use of Sulfur taken orally.. Originally Cream of Tarter Tablets, which contain Sulfur were given as an insecticide. The tablets did so much more. They will prevent and cure Boils. Also other skin infections, many skin problems with no side effects. Our Government, with prodding from Pharma houses succeeded in getting rid of the Tablets with the ruse that they were not good and "antibiotics were better and should be used!!" Sulfur is a natural antibacterial. It is required in the body. Used topically for cuts, skin infections, etc. Further, NO one is allergic to Sulfur!! The allergy is with "Sulpha Meds", a Pharma product. Not the mineral Sulfur, Element 16. U should test it yourself. (modified "Shick") test. 1/8tsp = 1/2 cream of tarter tablet (Dose level).
These work. The 120 tablet bottle is like $26. My husband has NEVER had a boil. We moved and quit taking these for about 6 weeks and he got one. I started having him take 2 per day and it is gone now only 4 days later. You have to sign a contract only because that is a loop hole so they can sell them. The FDA doesn't want these available. I am not a strong conspiracy theorist, but I do believe that if people knew about these and started taking them, much of the sicknesses we encounter would be gone. I used to get boils a lot. Since I started taking these about 1.5 years ago, I've not had any. I also haven't been sick or got bitten by a mosquito since I started taking them. If I get to where I can't buy them any longer, I will make my own. I'm telling you, they work and doctors and pharmaceutical companies don't want you to know that because it is bad for their business.
Is anyone reading these post? Pure sulfur replaces the cream of tarter sulfur tablets!! A dose of 1/8th teaspoon is roughly equivalent to 1 tablet!! Taken orally will provide reduction of boils, mild skin rashes, and can reduce problems with some arthritis ailments! I have used it for over 60 years. Generally the tablets are not available due to gov intervention. "get results by using natural means". Pure sulfur is available.
I just tried to go to the Red Arrow web site, thesulfur cream of tartar is listed, however, when I clicked on it, it does not come up. I have sent an email to the company.
