Can this drug cause the blood sugar to increase? (On insulin pump now.)

Information that I've gathered on this subject notes the following:

"Sulfamethoxazole and trimethoprim may also increase the effects of drugs used to treat diabetes, such as glipizide (Glucotrol), glyburide (Glynase, Micronase, Diabeta), chlorpropamide (Diabinese), tolbutamide (Orinase), and tolazamide (Tolinase). Very low blood sugar levels may result. Watch for changes in your blood sugar if you are a diabetic."

Walgreens pharmacy also mentions:

"If you have diabetes, this medicine may affect your blood sugar. Check blood sugar levels closely and ask your doctor before adjusting the dose of your diabetes medicine."

I would also like to share with you that the inclusion of a low fat raw vegan diet has been proven in a number of studies to control and manage type 1 diabetes. I've watched many documentaries with individuals getting off all their diabetes medications (type 1 and type 2) after a short time on this lifestyle diet. Just saying, it may be something you want to look into. :)
