I have been on suboxin, and subutex for a little over 3 years now... but more subutex... and this past week when I picked up my script... it was NOT the same pill... it is a small white round pill with an arrow on one side, and and 8 on the other side... it is TINY.. like.. the size of a clonodine... I'm wondering HOW these small pills could still be 8MG when they are the size of a 2mg piece? and am I still supposed to take it under my tounge? i dont understand how the 8 MG subutex i have been on for so long are so big that I have to break a half in half and put it under my tounge, and then repeat with the other half? if anyone has any information that can help me... that would really be appricaited, especially how its a sunday, all pharmacies closed early, and im just so confused w...

I need a new subutex doc. I have been on it for 2 years now, my is weaning me off because he only had room for pregnant women, and I'm no longer Prego, he thinks a six week wean down program is going to work, but I'm having an extremely hard time weaning that quick. I was on 16 mgs a day for the past two years, its been pretty rough, I also have to keep up with three small children all under the age of 3. I've changed healthcare plans (I receive disability because of chronic degenerative disc disease and spinal arthritis, both of which cause chronic pain). I need to find a PAIN SPECIALIST, not an addiction clinic, who will continue my 12mg/day buprenorphine prescription as well as give me botox IV's in my neck for muscle spasms (caused by 5 fusions that have forced my cervical spine straight). When I search the web for physicians in Boulder County, CO, who can prescribe buprenorphine, all of the listings are for addiction specialists and clinics! What is this mindset among physicians that all patients who need buprenorphine prescriptions are drug addicts? I like a lot of other people got addicted to opiates by a doctor that convinced me of a back problem that I never had..at the worst part of my addiction I could swallow 50 pills a day. I was in my addiction for 5 years. I started on 8 mg of suboxone a year ago and due to the cost my dr. put me on 8 mg subutex.. I have since cut myself down to 4mg and can tell no difference from the 8-4mg. I am now in school and more excited than ever. My life has completely changed. I have no desire to feel high and if that is what anyone on this medication is looking to do, forget it.. You are defeating the purpose and wasting your money. That is brand name hi-tech subutex, it is a CIII Opioid. Much like Suboxone only it has no naloxone in it. Both are buprenorphin, a partial opioid agonist/partial ANTAGonist. I'm a sever type 1 diabetic and have been on and off suboxone close to four years. Everytime I'm on the suboxone my sugar wants to spike up on me and is pretty hard to get under control! I did some research and their is an artificial sweetner in it. You wouldn't think that would cause it but studies have shown it can!! Not to mention the headaches and horrible stomach problems! I cannot take the teva brand subutex it stops my period for 5 to 7 months I cannot take suboxone with naloxone it stops my period. The only brand that I can take is 54/411 . I have run out of options with "pain pills" have been inquiring about subutex as a pain reliever for chronic pain due to a spinal injury. I take 3-5mg Valium plus 3-8mg subutex daily. I've heard its not a good combo to take at all! I take the Valium for panic and anxiety attacks and take the subutex for chronic pain. I was in a motorcycle accident and died but lucky i am alive today! I've been worried because even the paperwork that comes with my subutex for the pharmacy says DO NOT Take subutex if you're taking Valium! I cant find a good answer. I take gabapentin 800mg 4× daily and 100mg 1× night at bed time for sleep. Need to find a similar pill to a 8mg subutex with imprint. 54 411 ## Unfortunately there aren't any pills with the same imprint and/or color, since this is what makes these 8mg Subutex tablets unique amongst other pills on the market. I don't know why anyone would even need a fake replacement for it, but I hope for whoever's sake that it's for the right reasons. Will Subutex show up on a 8 panel drug screen? ## It really depends on what the place is looking for; While there is a Buperenorphine (Suboxone) specific drug test, not many places use it. According to my research, most places don't drug test for Suboxone at all. This is not to say that it will never show up, but it is unlikely. If you do think you are at risk for it showing up, I would suggest informing them that you are on it, under a doctor's care. But from the majority of information i've read on the subject, you shouldn't be too concerned about it even showing up. The half-life of Suboxone is anywhere between 24-72 hours; so I would suggest giving yourself a week or longer if you think you are going to be testing "specifically" for Suboxone. My fiance and i have been on subutex now for a little over two months. Neither one of us have a prescription, but we had a good friend that was helping us to get them.. however, it has become near impossible to find them these past couple days. and we are rather desperate at this point. It has been TWO MONTHS since we've touched Oxycontin, we have come so far and to relapse now just makes me sick to think about. We both work, and it's not an option for us to have to go through withdrawals while at work, or miss work because of them. Please tell me how long these pills have been out? I have seen the 54 411 and all the subs but when did they start making the oval peach half moons? ## 2015 sometime. I have been on Subutex and Suboxone for five years, well I had to stop going because I had no insurance. I now have Medicaid well are. I am a.single father. I have a rare vascular disease called fmd. Disease. It caused me to have a massive stroke. The Subutex helps my pain and keeps me from going to pain management. ## U was in pain meds for 16 years due to a bad back. Both subutex and suboxone will cause precipitated withdrawal. It is the bupe that connects to the receptors and kicks the methadone out. Naloxone is just an extra blocker!! I am a social worker at a clinic. Waiting at least 12 hours only if on low dose 20mg or less should b OK.
