In my opinion it is a wonder drug compared to all the opiates that the pain clinics are all too willing to prescribe .I have been out of my Suboxone for a week & a half. I feel like I am dying. I can not sleep. I have a 5 month old new baby boy. I can hardly pick him up due to the pain that I am in. I hurt all over. i have been so nauseated. My doctor who 's visits were cash bases only, however medicaid would take care of the actual prescription of 60, 8 mg. At one time I WAS PRESCRIBED 4, 8 MG SUBS A DAY. i WOULD KILL JUST TO HAVE A QUARTER RIGHT NOW TO FEEL LIKE NORMAL AGAIN. My doctor decided that he no longer wants to deal with any one with medicaid due to the fact that his office does not "LIKE TO HANDLE PRIOR AUTHORIZATIONS ...
I am taking suboxone films 8mg. I am wondering if the bottom bridge i have on my teeth effect the absortion? Will it have a reaction to the metal behind my front teeth? Idk wat to do. It doesnt seem to work same when i leave them in. Anyone know the real deal with this???? Please help!! Thanks so much in advance. ## Absorbtion rates can vary for a number of reasons. Time, meaning how long bupe is held in the mouth, amount of saliva build up, and most importantly how much area is covered in the mouth area. In your case, if the dose or part of it is laying on the medal of bridge, it can't be absorbed in this spot. What needs to be done here and anyone else dosing, is when you start to dose, use the driest mouth possible to start, but more importantly is to take the end of end or tip o...
I'm going to make this very clear - do not take suboxone until you're feeling every one of the withdrawal symptoms. My husband and I have been prescribed opiates for almost ten years w/ morphine er 60mg 2*per day each for 4 years but I wish the dr n pharmacy would have been more demanding and stress to wait til you're in full wd before taking subs and they didn't say at all that morphine is the worst cuz it binds to your receptors long-term. So just to warn anybody that is going to transition from morphine to suboxone 8mg strips' I strongly urge you to wait til u feel every symptom cuz it put us in full wd within 30 min and we waited 24hrs before taking one strip!! Omfg......Thank god we had each other. So another thing I really strongly suggest is that you have some...
How do you administer the orange Suboxone pill imprinted with 54 375? Do you swallow it or put it under your tongue? ## Yes, this is a sublingual tablet that is intended to be dissolved under the tongue (NDC 0054-0189). "Buprenorphine and Naloxone Sublingual Tablets must be administered whole. Do not cut, chew, or swallow Buprenorphine and Naloxone Sublingual Tablets. Advise patients not to eat or drink anything until the tablet is completely dissolved. Buprenorphine and Naloxone Sublingual Tablets should be placed under the tongue until it is dissolved. For doses requiring the use of more than two tablets, patients are advised to either place all the tablets at once or alternatively (if they cannot fit in more than two tablets comfortably), place two tablets at a time under the ton...
I have been on suboxone strip for over a yr. I had wisdom teeth pulled last Thursday and ate my last 7.5s yesterday at 12pm. When can I take my subs again ## Hi Eric, Some people suggest waiting anywhere from 1-3 days in between using hydrocodone and suboxone, while others have noted that they only needed to wait 12 hours... Rumor has it that the waiting time is based on when you start to feel withdrawals from opiates before attempting to take any suboxone, so in reality the time frame may be somewhat different for everyone. However, due to the sensitive nature of the situation, I would still encourage you to seek confirmation with your prescribing doctor and/or dentist just to be on the safe side. Hope this helps! Does anyone else have feedback/advice from personal experience? ## Just ...
Hello, everyone! I have heard from different people that they can eat and drink right after taking subs. Others have said 2 wait a half hour. Does anyone know which is true? Different Drs say different things. Thank u 4 your input. ## Hi cats, my dr. says don't eat, drink or smoke 15mins before or after taking sub but its alright to rinse with water before taking. ## answerd twice but both needed to be reviewed. ## Hey Jolter, would it b ok if I give u my e mail address when I get home? So, we can just talk as friends. ## Its ok with me but they won't let you send an email address on this site. ## Hi Jolter, I'll just try when I get home. Have a good one. ## Hi Cats, I don't know if you're still looking for anymore opinions on the matter, but I've also heard diff...
Hi Guys. Tuesday night was the last time I had taken opiates. I was taking around 480mg Codiene per day. Yesterday (Wednesday) at 9am I took 4mg Suboxone, then an hour later I felt dizzy and sick. At around 6pm I took the last 4mg and felt the same. Today (Thursday), the pharmacist gave me the whole 8mg to take at once. Well, once again, after an hour the dizziness was very mild but the sickness was horrendous and I couldn't stop. I can only describe it as being on a fair ride and not being able to get off. My pharmacist said that this could be due to me starting the subs too soon (*not sure what this means). My question is - has anyone else suffered this, and if so, how long am I looking at? I've had to take time off work, and Christmas is in a few days. This is very new to me ...
I'm currently on 24 mg of Suboxone after asking my doctor to switch from 50 mg of oxycodone to suboxone. It's just not working for the pain like it did at first. I'm in so much pain all day! She said she would switch me back to oxycodone at 60 mg a day since this isn't working well for me anymore. I've had people tell me that Suboxone is much stronger and that 60 mg wouldn't even be enough. Does anyone have any knowledge on this? ## Suboxone and methadone are two entirely different drugs that do two entirely different things. Suboxone is not for pain management Suboxone is to get people off of opiates for their withdrawal and it’s an agonist antagonistic which means it goes to the dopamine receptors in your brain and turns on the signal that you’re ge...
Can you be on suboxone and take soma for severe muscle spasms and pain? ## Yes. ## I would not suggest doing so without your doctor's approval, but yes, narcotics and muscle relaxants are often prescribed together, to help control pain that one doesn't touch. Suboxone contains the active ingredient Buprenorphine, it is used to help people with drug addiction and to treat some cases od severe pain. Soma contains the active ingredient Carisoprodol, it is a muscle relaxant. Taking the two, together, my aggravate the side effects, which can include: nausea, drowsiness, constipation and dizziness. You can read more about them here: Did you have any other questions? ## Yes, Im rxed both Flexeril, soma, and 16mg Suboxone EDay and Im told by my pharmacist and doc. to use either the flex...
I was on 80mg of oxycontin 3 times a day and it was no longer helping after taking it for many, many, many years. I switched to Suboxone for my Chronic Pain Mgt. Was on 6mg films for the 1st year and always had extra, as I took them at night. I was shocked how well they worked along with Flexeril for my back, leg and feet pain. Then I was cut to 3mg film once a day. I usually take the 6mg film every other day, and still forget at times, so I may only use 11 instead of 14 in 28 days. I recently tried to cut to the equivalent of 1/3 a day, but the insomnia and anxiety were off the charts after only a few days. At my last appointment it was Student Teaching Day. My Doctor explained how I am there for pain management which is why I haven't been completely we end off the medication. He a...
I had the same doctoe for more than five years. He prescribed me Addeall, Xanex and Suboxone.I am hard pressed to find another doctor to prescribe me than same medications to say nothing of the dose. He however retiered and I am hard pressed to find a doctor to prescreibe me the same medications to say nothing of the doseage. I live in Scranton,Pa. If anyone can help me out I would be eternally grateful. ## Any info on subutex Dr's in the Indy area who accept pregnant women? ## Sounds like a deadly combination! No suboxone doctor I know of will allow you to take benzos on suboxone. It is a very serious drug interaction. They could and should lose their license if they were to prescribe you such a fatal combination! I pray you find a doctor to help you. Please, I beg of you not to mi...
I was wondering how 2 chat (connect) with others who r on suboxone? It seems like u can only post or reply. Does anyone know? ## Hello, Cats68! How are you? Replies to posts are threaded, so you can chat that way, but that's it. This isn't actually a regular chat site, so to speak. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with? ## I took a 4 milligram Suboxone and it did not work, then I took another 4 milligram which did not work. Four hours later I took another 4 milligram. How long does this stuff remain in my system? ## Is anyone on here from Orlando or surrounding area? ## You have to micro dose. You can use for 7 ...
ive took 16mg of suboxone for 1 year. i tapered down to 4mg in just 7 days. then i jumped from the 4mg. its been 10 days.NOTHING!? i had mild nasal issues on day 3, but none of the other terrible symptoms.yet...? should i expect it to come this far into it, or did i just become one of the 1% of people that r lucky enough to not have issues? thanks for any replies! and good luck to everyone whos stopping this medicine. i had to stop, it was making me not feel like a person, its like i was void of emotion. anyone heard of anyone getting withdrawals after this long? ## SOUNDS TO ME LIKE YOU MAY BE LUCKY. I had symptoms at day 2 and they peaked by day 7. then lasted till the 10th day before easing. Im on day 22 and the PAWS are a pain! good luck though, i hope for your sake that you did dod...
I am currently taking Roxicodone 30's each day. I have suboxone 8mg/2mg to help get off of these. I know the suboxones are the best pill made to help with the withdrawals but I'm wondering if for the firsrt 3 to 5 days when I'm having trouble sleeping and feeling clammy, if i should take like half of a Roxicodone 30 (which i have done in the past), as it helps me to sleep and takes away the clammy feeling? Any other suggestions that you may have? Thanks to anyone answering this for me. ## Taking the Oxycodone pills with the Suboxone will do you no good, it contains a substance that neutralizes opiates to prevent their abuse during treatment, that is why it throws you into withdrawals. Suboxone should really not be used without a doctor's supervision, as the dosage and us...
I'm having a hard time finding a Suboxone Dr near me. And I don't wanna travel to Nashville TN, even though I'm from Carthage, TN. I'm on Amerigroup & I don't mind picking up a service charge. I just don't know if I can personally afford $300.00 dollars for a visit each month. ## In this case, the best advice I can give is to check directly with Amerigroup to see what they will, or will not cover. Amerigroup Website The FDA warns that Suboxone carries the risk of being habit forming, and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, constipation, and dry mouth. Hi everyone! I was wondering if anyone has ever had a problem with suboxone films sticking 2 your teeth ? Sometimes, when I put the film under my tongue, it won't go in right and sticks 2 my teeth. So, I'm trying 2 fix it properly and the film is wet, it then sticks 2 my fingers. It's like wasting half the darn film. Anyone else experience this? ## Hey Cats, The films get messy. I use a mirror when possible and sometimes it still gets all over the place. I found out the hard way not to touch the films once they get wet. ## There really isn't going to be a huge difference in absorption if it sticks to your teeth and dissolves elsewhere in the mouth. You are still going to get the medication into your body. Thus, unless your doctor advises otherwise, it may be best to just...
I live in a Smaller town in South Carolina than you can imagine! No one here gets around too well if you don't have a vehicle, and I'm one. How can someone like me get Suboxone filled online while using SC Blue Medicaid? Any suggestions are welcome! ## I would suggest calling the Medicaid number, and asking if they have a mail order service that you can use, you may also want to check with local pharmacies and ask if they have delivery services. The FDA warns that Suboxone carries the risk of being habit forming, and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, constipation, and dry mouth. Ref: Suboxone Information Does anyone else have any suggestions that may help?
I justed moved from north carolina where i was taking three to four subutex a day for five years. Then went to 4 suboxone 8mg a day and i moved to the DFW area and i cant find any doctor SO PLEASE SOMEONE HELP...... ## Cook Children's has a website at cookchp.org and there is a portal for members to use that lets you access features, such as a search for a provider in your area that accepts it. You can find it by looking in the orange box on the left side of the page, near the top is "Member Online Services". I think that would likely be the easiest way to find someone that can help you. Does anyone happen to know of a doctor in that area that accepts this coverage? ## Look up Kratom. It's an herb. When you finally try it, your search will change from looking for doctors...
I'm already taking suboxone and now i was prescribed Cephalexin 500mg for an infection in my foot. Can someone tell me if the Cephalexin causes withdrawal symptons Thanks ## I'm not fnding any problematic interactions listed between using them together, but you should ask your doctor or pharmacist to be certain. Cephalexin is an antibiotic and it nay cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, non-allergic skin rash and diarrhea. Learn more: Is there anything else I can help with! ## Are you able to give me any details about any interaction between Simethicone and Suboxone or Simethicone and benzodiazepines please? ## Thanks for the help! Although, I do know of a Doctor in DeQuincy, LA who prescribes Suboxone and also accepts Medicaid for the office visit. This doctor is extremely peculiar and is very, very strict. His name is Dr. Jagjit Chadha and his wife also can prescribe Suboxone and she is in the same office as he is.
