I take buprenorphine by prescription, I had a ua that was positive for cocaine, and I have not done any for 6 months. could Valium, cause a false positve for cocaine, or the combo of the two. Please help Im facing jail time and I have not done any coke. Do you know a specialist I could hire to get cooperating testimony ## Dear Clwmike, I've never heard of that happening. I know, sometimes suboxone can come up positive 4 opiates. I take suboxone and klonopin and have never had a problem with my tests. My Dr tests 4 everything. I would ask 4 a re-test. Or, talk 2 your Dr or supervisor. Is this the first time it's happened? If so, u have a good history 2 back u up. I would b dead up serious and stand up 4 yourself. Let me know how u ma...

Hi everyone! I'm on suboxone and I had a bad cold. So, I took NyQuil. It's the only stuff that helps me when I'm sick. Anyway, I go 2 c my suboxone Dr, yesterday, and, they tell me that I had alcohol in my urine test. I have a perfect record with my Dr, never had a dirty urine in 8 years. So, u can imagine how I felt. There is 10 percent of alcohol in NyQuil, but, I didn't think it would come up positive. I don't drink any alcohol. I explained it 2 my Dr and he was cool about it. Has this ever happened 2 anyone else? ## Hi Cats, Sorry, but thats kind of funny. Of all things to show up. I can honestly say I,ve never heard of that happening before. I guess stranger things have happened. At least your doctor didn,t make a big deal about it. ## Hi Jolter! I guess it'...

I take way too damn much. I have came across this website a bunch. I take more than 32 mg a day and I always end up regretting it. I don't know what's wrong with me and I know its stupid. Every time I get my script I always end up doing the same damn thing. I don't know why and when I try to go down, I feel wrong, I know this may sound crazy to some, but I just want to figure out a way to make myself stop taking so much. I live in Arkansas and I have medicaid. In Arkansas, I guess people are allowed 24 months of treatment. Does anyone know how I can get more treatment through medicaid? I was doing real good at one time for about three months. My script is 3 8/2 mga day 24 mg. That sounds high too I know. I am here just seeking help. ## @cj, Medicaid's policies are ridden...

can taking suboxone stop you from getting pregnant and how dangerous is it to get pregnant while taking suboxone? ## Hello, Coley! How are you? No, it has no contraceptive properties and does nothing that will prevent pregnancy. If you get pregnant, while taking it, it is very important to inform your doctor immediately, because it is safer for pregnant women to take Subutex, instead of Suboxone which contains Naloxone. The FDA classifies this medication as being a narcotic that is most commonly used to treat drug addiction, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with? ## You have to tell your Dr immediately and they should then put you on subutex during ...

She got into my purse and cut one open and said she couldn't get it to come out of her mouth. It's 8mg/2mg suboxone film. What can i do to help get it out of her system? I'm not sure if she swallowed the whole film or not as I didn't see it anywhere in the house. ## @Brenda, First things first, if it were my child, I'd call poison control immediately at 1-800-222-1222. Secondly, I'd probably contact the prescribing doctor and/or a local pharmacist for advice on how to safely detox the child (re: activated charcoal, dandelion root, etc?) - if poison control didn't already provide appropriate information on what to do next... Thirdly, make sure your pharmaceuticals are out of reach from anyone other than yourself; even if it means getting a safe. Fatal overdose...

I am trying to quit using and I've gotten suboxone on the street. I would much rather get a prescription for it but not sure how to go about it. Is it mandatory for a doctor to contact child services if a patient with kids asks for help? I need help ASAP I can't keep living like this ## You need to go to a Dr that writes suboxone. The SAMHSUA made it possible for any Dr to write it, if they take a short course. But, they publish a database of these doctors near you at buprenorphine-doctors.com. I think it's almost a ceu credit because my "addiction specialist" knows nothing about the drug. ## Hey bud. Hope your ok. 8 years off the needle. Life is good. It's a struggle. And there's nothing wrong with being on subs. Most hospitals have a detox unit. Most hospit...

I was just wondering if you accidentally swallow some of the suboxone instead of dissolving it under the tongue, will it still work? ## Yes, it just may take a few more minutes for it to take effect. The FDA warns that this medication carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, constipation, and dry mouth. How are you doing? Did you experience any problems?

How long will the nausea last. I took half a pill of suboxone and rabout an hour later, I threw up and wazs dizzy as hell. I still feel sick and I don't kknow what to do. I don't normally take this kinda pill and bhave never been addicted to opiates ## Well Suboxone actually contains 2 active ingredients, Buprenorphine and Suboxone. That means that there are several possible reasons that this may have happened. One is due to the fact that the Buprenorphine is a very potent narcotic and it can cause the types of things you've described as a side effect, especially if you aren't used to taking it. Another reason could be due to the Naloxone, it is in this medication to neutralize other opiates and prevent their abuse, while someone is being treated with it, thus if you had...

Made a mistake and swallowed an 8mg suboxone pill (thought it was my woman's vitamin) with my 30mg oxycodone at the same time! OMG, what is going to happen to me!? ## Hello, Becky! How are you? Wow! I am sorry about what happened and I understand your concern. The main issue here, according to the FDA, is the fact that the Suboxone could cause you to go into dangerous precipitated withdrawals, which could include fever, chills, sweating, rebound pain, and seizures. How are you doing? Did you experience any adverse effects? The Suboxone could also prevent your Oxycodone from working for about 3 days. ## Will not effect you in any way,,IV done it a thousand times,,,but it will prevent the OXY, from working well,,hope this helped

I need help for a loved one. I have tried everything. He has the Michigan adult benefit waiver program/Midwest. The Suboxone script would be covered but I can not find a doctor that accepts the insurance. Please anyone/someone help!! He has been on Suboxone before. It's the only thing to help maintain him to stay clean. Please someone help me, I can not lose him to drugs!! ## Dr gamble in lincoln park mi perscribes it the clininxs called my family doc ## I tried two years ago and couldn't find a doctor, as they require special training. I tried again last week, and was lucky first place I tried. Go to Suboxone site. It has a find a doctor link. It's a matter of calling the doctor's listed and ask if they accept his insurance

Is hydrochloride in all Suboxone? If it isn't, why is it in the pill 54 375? What does hydrochloride do? ## It is not an ingredient in and of itself, it just designates the specific chemical salt that the medication is derived from, sometimes a pharmacy lists it on a label, or the doctor will list it on a prescription, and sometimes they don't. However, the actual medication and the way it works in your body remain the same. The FDA warns that this medication carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as dizziness, dry mouth, nausea, constipation, and headache. Is there anything else I can help with?

I swallowed my orange round Suboxone on accident. I am horrified that it's not gonna work or it's gonna make me sick. Am I not gonna feel it and feel dope sick? ## No, it will still work, it may just take a bit longer to enter your blood stream and take effect. The FDA warns that this medication carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, constipation, and dry mouth. How are you doing, now?

I started taking suboxone almost 11 weeks ago. I was only taking 4mgs and today i went down to 2mgs. How long will it take me to taper to nothing and not have withdrawals? Please help. I am so sorry I ever touched these things. ## Hello, Karen! How are you? Regardless of how low you taper, you will likely still experience some minor withdrawal symptoms, once you finally stop altogether. Has your doctor provided any instructions? It does contain a very potent narcotic, to you do need to taper off of it as slowly as possible. Is this the only medication you're on? ## ive been taking about 2mg maybe less for about 2 years. havent taken it in three days trying to quit cold turkey. the only withdrawel symptoms ive had was no energy very little insomnia and a little anxiety eapecially whe...

I have been using suboxone for appox. 9 months. Usually it takes me 5-6 days to go through an 8 mg tablet. I have been on probation and passed urine drug tests while on it before. I don't get tested very often. I hadn't been tested since October of last year (2013.) But at the beginning of this year (2014) they started testing for suboxone separately. I learned this yesterday and told my counselor and acted like I only used it once and she talked to my p.o. and he let me go. But now instead of checking in once a month, I have to check in 2 times a month. He said at my next check in I need to be clean. I'm not positive he's going to test me but I'm freaking out wondering if I'm going to be clean? My next check in is in 12 days, not counting today. I'm planning...

I've been taking the Hi-Tech generic for Suboxone now for approx. 2 months and I wouldn't suggest it to anyone. They don't melt and more importantly, they don't last more than 2 hours before I started feeling like I hadn't taken one at all. After reading complaint after complaint regarding this companies generic Suboxone, I asked my pharmacist to switch me to another generic and she informed me that I was the 3rd customer that month that complained about the Hi-Tech generic. The alternative generic she gave me worked as well as the name brand and there have been no issues since. Just wanted folks to know that there really is a difference between generic medications. I've heard doctor after pharmacist after doctor explain to me that Buprenorphine is Buprenorphine ...

how long does suboxone stay in your blood ## how long before suboxen will not show up in a blood test ## I've been on Suboxone for about 3 1/2 years. Every time I go in to see my Dr he gives me a urine drug test. Today I went in and took my UA. It came back negative for the Suboxone. So I asked to take it again. It also came back negative for Suboxone. I am totally confused. This is the first time this has happened. So he sent me to have bloodwork. I take my Suboxone everyday. Does anyone know if the bloodwork will show positive for the Suboxone? I don't like looking like I'm lying. I honestly take this med every single day. Does anyone have an answer to this crazyness?

I took a tiny tiny chip of suboxone friday night, none since, will it show on urine test tuesday? Also i am prescribed opana and need to be positive for opana. I have one opana er left, if i swallow half mon pm and tues am will i be positive for opana? Neg for sub? On tues afternoon? ## Please respond asap! ## Most narcotics are detectable, in a standard urine test, for approximately 4 to 5 days, after last dosing. There is no way, however, to really give a precise time frame, because it is always going to vary from person to person, depending on certain individuating factors, such as your metabolism, overall health, activity levels, fluid intake and etc. As to the Opana and snorting anything, that is not safe and what you may actually run into is not having the right levels in your bod...

I am a 30 yo female and I've been in suboxone treatment for about two years. I have stayed at two mg strips twice a day for most of that time.. a few months ago I started overtaking my suboxone, usually with a half a strip up to a whole extra a day..for whatever reason it seems to help my anxiety although I know it's all mental it's just things have gotten so stressful lately. I had been seeing one doctor and after a few failed attempts to make an appointment and him closing early or not being there I started seeing another doctor. The last two times I've been to the doctor I've alternated between the two.. I tried to fill my prescription today and the pharmacy said that it showed I was seeing multiple provider's.. when I called to speak with the doctor they knew...

I was prescribed methadone for my back injury a few months ago. My prescription was stolen and i was withdrawling from it badly. Today is Thursday - on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, I took suboxone 8 mg/2 mg each day....will this show up in a mouth swab drug test? My mouth was dry because i had just woke up, I'm not sure if that will have any effect. I normally never take it, i just felt so sick to my stomach, i couldnt take it any longer. Please help ## No. Suboxone requires a separate test. The "stolen script" story? Baby, that's for amateurs. I would leave that out. Along with cat spilled open bottle into sink, "junkie" relatives, etc etc. They've heard it all. Good luck ## Only if they specifically test for the suboxone. Which they usually don't. I wo...
