Hello, I have recently lost my dr. He prescribed me subutext. Not only did my pharmacy give me the generic brand (witch has exposed my pain in my ankle) but I can NOT find a doctor who is licensed to prescribe subutext. I can not take suboxone due to the fact it makes me very sick. I'm self employed and I will not go to the methadone clinic!!! Any help on how to find a certified doctor would be great! ## I live in Cross, SC and I need to find the closest suboxone or subutex doctor to me that accepts medicaid.

I am pregnant and on 3 8 mg a day. My doctor told me I could take 4 a day if I needed it but insurance won't cover 4. So he didn't see the reasonto write 4. Well I am out and it is sunday so I can't call my doctor. I am very sick. I have been taking Suboxone for a little over 2 weeks now. I have been addicted to every kind of opiate for about 15 years.. Recently became addicted to morphine taking about 150 mg a day.. Decided I was sick of being sick and wanted to change before my 30th birthday. My Question is... I am prescribed three 8 mg strips a day and now into my 3rd week am having thoughts if wanting to abuse it. At first it was like it was gonna change my life.. I felt great!! Now I'm having feeling of wanting to get high again. Is my dose not enough? Or can I take two 8 mg strips at once?... I feel like taking it every 6 hours but my doc says take it every 8. I am around the Lafayette, Louisiana area. I am curretly going to a doctor that I pay $280 a month, I really like him but I've recently got insurance with blue cross and blue shield and he doesn't accept insurance. Hi, I was on suboxone for 3 years, then I tapered pretty quickly and was off of suboxone 8 mg for 10 days. The withdrawals were really bad, went to ER and they had to push 2 bags of fluid. I wasn't eating or drinking. Well a lot of people know how it is. I hadn't slept for 8 days when I went in. They finally inj. my buttocks with something to make me sleep. Went home and slept finally for 8-10 hours but the next day and night was horrible again. I gave in and went back to my suboxone doctor and he put me back on suboxone. He wanted to taper me much slower this time. Well, I've only taken 2 and 1/4 of the films he gave me within a span of 2-3 days and then I flushed the rest. I am in the middle of finding another suboxone Dr I took my last sub this morning only been taken one 8mg a day but was given a script of Norco by er due to abdominal pain i have scar tissue wrapped around my stomach/ pouch from gastric bypass 14 yrs ago! I took about 1/3 of a 8mg suboxone at around 9 this morning and it is around 4pm now and i am still feeling dizzy and naucious. I have a friends urine that is 3 days old. I need to do a test for the doctor to make sure I've been taking my suboxone. Will they be able to tell that the urine is 3 days old and will they still find suboxone in that urine? ## I have a similar problem. I have been taking 40mg methadone everyday for almost a year now and I really would like to switch to suboxone. I know you can't take suboxone until you've had atleast 48hrs from your last dose of methadone, so yesterday and today I've taken an op 80 instead. My question is will I be able to take a suboxone tomorrow and not go into immediate w/d since it will be over 48 from last methadone dose? Or Should I be taking something else instead of op 80s to make the switch? I am trying to be supportive of someone who is addicted to pills (oxy, perc, vic-anything opiate). I thought I had an addictive personality until I watched him self destruct and lose everything for these things. He went to a 7day treatment center. And is now taking Suboxone. I used to do a lot of diff. pills when I was younger. Not even sure what they all were, I'm thinking mostly nerve and muscle relaxers, boyfriend used to just be like, here take these. I have been prescribed Suboxone for 6+ years after choosing to come off traditional opioid pain medications for chronic pain. I have also been prescribed Adderall for many years for ADD. My current physician (as well as others I have contacted who prescribe Suboxone in my area) is telling me that he cannot prescribe Suboxone for pain. He acknowledges that I have never abused drugs, but says that he "has" to put it on paper that he is treating me for opioid dependency. I am required to go to meetings. Now he is telling me that because of new laws in Alabama, he will no longer be able to prescribe my Klonopin. He has never given my Adderall which makes my life so much harder. So if anyone reading this could give me some insight I really need it! So it's like this, I've obviously had some addictions in the past (for about 3 to 4 years) and up until about 6 months ago I got on suboxone (though I've been on it periodically before) and have been pretty faithful to the program...for the most part. It's definitely been helping but a couple months ago i'd notice that sometimes if I took it later in the day when I go to bed i'd get a whole body numbing sensation really bad especially around my chest area and it would cause really bad anxiety. I started taking Suboxone two years ago and it has been a very positive experience, I'm off the hydrocodone, tapering off Suboxone successfully, and it also saved my marriage. My husband and I recently moved to a different state, so I had to leave my very wonderful Suboxone doctor (an addiction specialist for 30 years). The Suboxone doctor I found in our new state has both a PA (Physician's Assistant) and a Nurse Practitioner who see patients. When I made my first appointment, I was surprised that it was with the PA and not the doctor. I've been prescribed suboxone for a few years now. It has done wonders for my recovery. Recently, however, I have been getting pressure from the doctor. In two of my recent tests (not back-to-back), the suboxone metabolite norbuprenorphine was not present. I want to preface the rest of this by saying that yes, I take it exactly as prescribed. I am on the film, not the tablet. I am only on 4mg/day. I take 2mg in the morning and 2mg mid-afternoon. The UAs I take are generally around 4pm, and I normally take my afternoon dose at around 3pm. The last time this happened, the next test showed it in my system again. I am wondering how many days should I stop taking suboxone because I don't have enough to last till my appointment. I want to know if I stop for a few days, will I feel better when I take it? I can take at least 5 suboxone per day and still feel like I need more. I don't know why it is that way. I want to be able to take a lower dose, and I need answers. I need help with how to start taking them right - should I switch to Subutex? ## If you are in withdrawals (i.e. Watery eye(s) muscle aches, then later sweating and constant goose bumps till your skin is sore from it, and you can't tell if you're hot or cold because you're sweating and getting goose bumps aka HELL) then any amount of suboxone that stays in your mouth for at least 10 minutes will stop or at least ease...

I've been on suboxone 7 years. Started at 24 mgs and recently tapered down to .25 mgs. I planned on skipping one day, then two, then three and so on. HOWEVER....I am on day four and what do you know? Hardly any symptoms. And no terrible symptoms at all. I've been restless a little, pupils a little big. WTH is going on?
