I took a 8mg Suboxone 48 hours ago. I have a 60mg morphine to take for pain. Will the effects of the morphine work or do I need to wait longer? ## Hello, Shantastic! How are you? It usually takes about 72 hours, unless your doctor instructs otherwise. The FDA classifies this medication as an opiate, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with? ## Yeah in theory it's supposed to last 72 hours, but that's the bupronorphine. The naloxone only lasts for a couple of hours. The bupe lasts longer to keep your tolerance up and your opiate receptors "busy" so other opiates will (again in theory) not have anything to bind to, making them ineffective...

Ok, I'm on suboxone (two 8 milligram pills per day). I have to pass a drug test but have suboxone show up. I'm using a mask drink to cover up THC. How can I still get the suboxone to show up? ## Take a sub put in the urine and shake it around till it dissolves then your good ## Do NOT put suboxone in your urine it WILL test POSITIVE for OPIATES. Suboxone is a synthetic opiate (the bupe part at least) and when processing through your system it like neutralizes or something but either way it processes and never tests positive for opiates UNLESS you do what girl below said to do, put the sub itself in urine. My insurance is no longer covering my suboxone or Zubsolv. I started taking it to get off of all opiates and narcotics, but it helps with chronic back pain from a botched back surgery. I take suboxone from my doc and have to take a urine test while being watched - well this time I messed up & took xanax. Is there any way to get the Xanax out of my system and still show the required suboxone in my system? I have 4 days. How can you tell what milligram suboxone wax squares are by color? I have a pink on and need to know what to talk to my doctor about. I have searched and searched and I don't know what milligrams they come in and I don't know how to split it up. ## That I am aware of, there's no such thing as a blue suboxone strip - the packaging is blue, but the strips are typically orange although I have heard of white ones. Is there any interaction with essential oils and suboxone?? Since I have been using the oils along with probiotics, it seems as if the half life of the suboxone does not last as long, and I thing that may be due to the detoxing effects of both probiotics and essential oils. Yeah, Dr Ley and DORN associates were good, but the DEA shouldn't have dismantled their operation w/o providing a list of doctors. I am currently going to a pain clinic. I ran out of oxycodone and I have some suboxone from a previous doctor (I went to suboxone doctor about 9 months ago). I have been in Pain Management for 15 years. I have the usual round of diagnoses. Herniated discs at cervical, thoracic and lumber spine. Bone spurs through out. I have spinal cord compression in my neck. Pain. I just switched from 16mg of Exalgo (Dilaudid ER) with Fentanyl ir for breakthrough- back to 100mcg Fentanyl patches with 15mg Morphine 3x a day for breakthrough. I feel like a trapped rat. Before I fully switched to Suboxone and I ran out of my other meds, I'd be able to take a half of an 8mg Suboxone. I was told to put it in my mouth with a some water and swish it around in my mouth till it dissolved. Then to swallow, and swish even more water in my mouth and swallow again. That worked to make it take effect. Now that I'm seeing a new doctor, I was told to let it dissolve under my tongue with no water. As a result, I've had to go up in dosage to get the same therapeutic effect. Is it possible to get use to your dose SO fast that you need to be upped from 8mgs to 14mgs?
