I was prescribed opiate painkillers for 5 years. I gradually became totally addicted to the point that while these drugs ( Hydrocodone, Oxycodone, Oxycontin and others) worked well for their intended purpose, the 'good feeling" they gave me became the focal point of my life. The unavoidable physical and psychological dependence eventually led to serious and harmful consequences- damaged or ruined relationships (divorce in my case) with people who were now less important than the drugs. Responsibilities and interests I had fell by the wayside. Although I have a legitimate need for pain relief due to nerve damage caused by disease, the doctor saw that I was abusing the drugs- taking too much and using them to get high- and cut me off. was taking the white round suboxone with moon on it for terrible opiate addiction and doing well. Last prescription refill was given peach colored round ones and they DO NOT work as well. I was working my program with minimal cravings and now it is a different story. These generic ones do not work the same. I've been taking 4mg a day of suboxin for 2 years and I didn't really taper of lime I should have.. Now it's day 12 without anything and skin is still crawling and feeling crappy.. my boyfriend has been smoking heroin for the past 6 months and just got suboxone to stop the heroin. He waited 12 hours until he was into withdrawals and took 8 mgs of suboxone he was still not feeling well so he broke down and took 1 hit of heroin 30 min later. Ok I have been given a prescription of norco 7.5. I have been on subs since Dec 2013, 8mg a day. Is it safe to take them when they pull my tooth? ## It will not help with your pain until you stop Suboxone for at least 48 hours, and even with that you might get limited relief. ## Steph77 is right it's a complete waste, you should probably just take an extra 4mg of sub that's what my doc told me to do and it worked call your doc and see what he says. ## Ok so it did work with the extra 4mg. I am switching from suboxone to methadone and i have chronic pain. Will this help me with the pain? I dont have any other options. What should i do for my pain? I've been on the highest dose of suboxone for about a year now and i don't feel like it's helping at all anymore. I wake up miserable everyday with horrible cravings and i wish i hadn't woken up at all. I want to switch to methadone for pain which is what my family Dr. treats me for. I think my Dr will write for it for pain management. I have to go to my p.o. tomorrow & take a urine analysis. How can i pass a urine test for suboxone if i only took an 8th of one 2 days ago? ## There is really no guaranteed way to do so. The Buprenorphine in the Suboxone is usually detectable in urine for approximately 4 to 5 days, after last dosing. It requires a special test to detect, as it is not included in the standard tests. What is the best way to take the 155 crescent moon suboxone? Sublingually? Intransally? As a suppository? And how long if sublingually taken do you feel the effects? ## Orally is the best way, been on them for 9 years!! My wife decided to change our health care plan to save me a few bucks and apparently they fast talked her or she didn’t catch it all.. but long story short, while speaking with Cigna / marketplace / healthcare.gov, they told my wife and I that our copay would simply jump to $40 from $20... I know Suboxone does not show up in a standard test. But the job I am applying for may do an extended test. I have a prescription from my Doc and I am on 16mg a day which by the way is wonderful.
