Hello, I am new to this, but my this is what happened, I really need some feedback so anything would be appreciated. I have been on suboxone for about 6 months now, and have been doing wonderful. Haven't even thought about relapsing. About 2 months into my program my car was broken into in the college parking lot of my school and my suboxone was stolen out of the glove compartment. I filled a police repot and went to the doctor and got a replacment script. I really like my doctor, and she has always been good to me and happy to see me start getting my life back together. On christmas, I went to my granmothers along with my husband, and son, and of course there was some other family present. We had a great evening and came home about 11. Upon getting home, I realized that my subs wer...

I take 4 mgs of suboxone everyday and it's been like 5 hours since I took my suboxone. Is it ok to take a gabapentin? ## The FDA recommends that they usually not be taken together, since they can both cause depression of the central nervous system, which could lead to severe health consequences and has been known to cause death, in some case. Have they both been prescribed for you? Are you on any other medications? ## Yes, Neurontin 10 yrs, Suboxone 4 months and not one problem. There's more to the story. She complaines about everything I do and take and refused to give them to me, yet another Walgreens did. She hates me. And now has cost me 60$ more than I usually paid. I am so frustrated and don't know where to go from here. ## Yes u can, gabapentin is not a controlled sub...

GETTING OFF PAIN MEDICINE ## I have a friend that would like to get off of oxycotin. How can he be prescribed suvoxin and how does one get into rehab quicker and without insurance? ## The medication name is actually Suboxone, it contains Buprenorphine, and Naloxone, it is most commonly used to treat drug addiction, not therapeutic use of a medication. The same is true of rehab programs, they are intended for addicts, not those taking therapeutic doses of any given medication. Suboxone itself carries the risk of being habit forming, and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, constipation, headache, and dry mouth. What dosage of Oxycontin is your friend taking and how long have they been taking it? If they work with their doctor, they might be able to just taper off of it.

I'm having a very difficult time finding a Dermatologist that accepts Medicaid. I live in Western Suffolk County and will even travel to Nassau County. ## Hello, Pat! How are you? The best idea that I can offer you is to call the NY Medicaid recipient number and see if they have a listing for one in your area that accepts it. You can reach them at 800-541-2831. Does anyone else have any ideas or suggestions? Do you have a PCP that you see regularly? If so, they may also be able to refer you to someone that accepts it. ## Thanks for the suggestion. I'll give it a try! Pat ## Very welcome! I hope you find the help you need! Post back and keep me updated, thanks! ## Hi Pat, I am going to let you know that unfortunately, no matter how great or lousy your insurance is, suboxone docto...

Trying to find one ASAP. ## I'm sorry, there's really no central listing that I know of that lets you know what doctors treat with Suboxone and take any certain insurance. Learn more Suboxone details here. I'd suggest contacting HIP/Medicaid and asking if they have any information that can help you, or you can try the Suboxone.com website to find doctors in your area, then contact them to see what insurance they accept. Does anyone else know of one? ## Hi... I know of a doctor in glen cove..and he did take hip/medicaid bc that's what I had and he did prescribe suboxone from what I know. If I have only been taking 8 mg. of suboxone a day for one month, can I stop suddenly without withdrawals? ## No, it will still most likely cause some withdrawals, if you stop abruptly. As listed by the FDA, the withdrawal effects may include nausea, dizziness, fever, chills, rebound pain and diarrhea. Is there anything else I can help with? ## I would assume you would have a typical withdrawal scenario. NEVER make a decision on medication on whether to change dosages (in this case significant) on your own ESPECIALLY going off anything cold turkey after being on the med for a month. Depending on the medication, there can be some severe consequences. Not necessarily for Suboxone but I personally think you should talk with your physician about it. I'm not sure how it works but if you ...

I'm on suboxone and would like 2 chat with others. Is that possible? ## I'm on suboxone 2 and mould like 2 chat with others, also . I don't know exactly how, but maybe just through leaving posts and messages. ## I just started on subs as well. I was on them about a year ago, and quit. But a few days ago, I started taking them-very serious this time--so reply if your looking information or have questions! ## Yes, you can use this basically like a chat, just by responding to messages left and it will thread the conversation. This is a narcotic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Learn more Suboxone details here. roxycodone 30mg tablets ## ive been on roxy for a very long time i am trying to get off of them where do i start? ## try a pill doctors can prescibe you called suboxone 8 mg, it cures the dope sickness and block opiates to your brain receptors. It works amazingly well, try just half of a 8 mg at a time. It will not make you feel high, just make you feel normal and able to continue with your normal life. Good luck ## You can only use Suboxone if you have a severe addiction problem and have been abusing drugs, it is not for use by those who have been taking medication at a normal prescribed dosage. You should consult your doctor and they can help you decide the best way to taper off your medication. ## BE CAREFULL THOUGH YOU CAN GET ADDICTED TO SUBOXON JUST AS EASILY IF YOU MISUSE IT LIKE...

To make a long story short I was being prescribed opiate pain meds by the VA and when I got a new doctor they just cut me off with no explanation. I went into with drawls and needed some help feeling better and was told about the subxone program by a social worker. I was desperate for help so I went there and well I felt better. I was able to get a referral back to my spine doctor and they want me back on pain meds and to treat me as an entire patient not just a partial. I have no idea how long I have to wait between my last dose of suboxone and my new opiate pain meds. If it helps I was on 2mg for 4 complete weeks. ## Hi cassi, Sorry to hear about what had happened. From what I've seen posted in other related threads here, the average general guidelines for waiting in-between takin...

What pain medication will I be able to use after suboxone treatment is complete ## "What pain medication will I be able to use after suboxone treatment is complete..." Depends, really. Are you actually looking for legitimate pain relief for a real issue, or looking to get high again? I've been on Suboxone for 5 years and 6 months ago some screws used to fix a broken ankle got very infected and infected the bone around it. Osteomylitus with the infection being the MRSA infection. Painful doesn't even begin to describe the feelings I had. Now I was different than you in the sense that I was currently on Suboxone treatment, making my tolerance to pain medication extremely high. I actually carry a card around with me, given to me by my doctor, that explains what physicians, ...

So I have been on Suboxone for years and years. I have had every different generic made and found they all effect me mor or less the same. However, I am having a hard time with these new West-Ward 54 375 generics. This one just doesn’t work the same. I know all generics have the same amount of drug in them but these just real weak and it really pisses me off. ## Actually, they do not all have to have the same amount of the active ingredients. Under the Hatch-Waxman Act of 1984, they are allowed to differ from the name brand, in the amount of the active ingredients, by as much as plus or minus 20%. They also do not have to measure against other generics, only against the name brand, so it is conceivable that the new one you are taking was lower in the amount of active ingredients t...

Oh my gosh, it's so very hard to get a straight answer..all I get is everyone's opinions. I'd love to know what is the maximum dosage of mg a person with Chronic Pain can take PER DAY? Thanks in advance for helping me. ## The maximum recommended dosage of this medication, per day, according to the U.S. FDA is 32mgs, regardless of whether it is being taken for pain, or drug addiction. They also warn that this medication carries the risk of being habit forming and it may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth, and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with? ## Im on 8mg of suboxne can i take tylenol 3 with codeine with the suboxne? ## Dodo verwon is correct with the maximum dose but suboxone has a ceiling which means after 24 mg no matter ...

Can this generic form of Suboxone be split into 4 doses and still be somewhat effective in helping me with all my withdrawal symptoms? (Which are pretty awful) ## Hello, Dianna! How are you? It would be best to take it as prescribed by your doctor to avoid the withdrawals. Taking lower doses won't really help much and isn't going to prevent the cravings associated with addiction. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with? ## Is it best to take the generic suboxone with 155 and a half moon on it. My daughter was on opiates and she's taking this now, but they say it's addicting also. ## Are the 155 half moon s...

My son has been on suboxone for over 1 year now. He was a herion addict for over 12 years. Been clean off and on during that time. I have seen a personality change in him which is almost intolerable. It is like he is fine one minute and then goes off the wall the next. Has anyone who has been on suboxon or knows someone who has been seen a personality change. ## These types of personality changes can occur with the use of any opiate. They are, however, not usually so severe if the medication is not being abused. Suboxone, which contains the active ingredient Buprenoprhine is a very potent drug. Have you checked on his use of it? Is he following the doctor's instructions or is he taking more than he is supposed to? Personality changes could also be a result of withdrawal symptoms. So...

I have horrible neuropathy in all extremities. One is phantom nerve pain, the most unbearable, as the pain is in my toes that are gone. I tried a piece of a suboxone strip about 3-4 yrs ago. It works! I tried so many other things and was going to try to get my nerves burnt, but the suboxone still works. I have been totally honest w/ all my docs in asking to be put on suboxone. How do i get my doc to prescribe this med for my pain management? Everyone is different and this works for me. Help. ## I had symptoms of fibromyalgia in my upper extremities for over 2yrs. Pain pills were not an option to me, as they didn't take the pain away, and they will destroy your liver over time. I was started on Suboxone strips and paid out of pocket first week. Found out that ins will pay for Suboxone but I have to start with the pills and a pre-auth. So I pick up the generic pills, same dose as strips were and they aren't nearly as strong... Feeling a lot of cravings and w/d's and needed to take more to keep them at bay. The only way ins will pay for strips is if I have some sort of problem taking the pills.... What can I say to the Dr so he will switch my pre-auth to the strips? Called pharmacy and he said if you go from strips to pills you may need to increase your dose by 35% to get the results as you got from strips... Can anyone please help? ## Hi. Suboxone, more specifically Buprenorphine hcl/Naloxone hcl was never intended for chronic use or maintenance purposes. I am on the board of directors of a substance abuse treatment organization in upstate New York. We have several facilities at all stages of the continuum of care. Here is New York state, as in many states throughout the country, there is a consistent, persistent rise in clients requiring treatment for Suboxone dependency and Suboxone addiction. When used in its intended manner, which is for supervised medical detoxification only Suboxone presents very little risk of inducing drug seeking behavior, and only a mild risk of tolerance and dependency. It is to be used only in progressed opiate dependency and intended to be started 24-48 hours after the last agonist dose, and...
