Suboxone Vs Oxycodone Equivalency In Milligrams

I'm currently on 24 mg of Suboxone after asking my doctor to switch from 50 mg of oxycodone to suboxone. It's just not working for the pain like it did at first. I'm in so much pain all day! She said she would switch me back to oxycodone at 60 mg a day since this isn't working well for me anymore. I've had people tell me that Suboxone is much stronger and that 60 mg wouldn't even be enough. Does anyone have any knowledge on this?

Suboxone and methadone are two entirely different drugs that do two entirely different things. Suboxone is not for pain management Suboxone is to get people off of opiates for their withdrawal and it’s an agonist antagonistic which means it goes to the dopamine receptors in your brain and turns on the signal that you’re getting the opiate you need with the antagonist in it takes away the euphoric feeling.

Therefore keeping people off of narcotic opiates like the oxycodone that your doctor wants to put you back on to which I would highly recommend that you say yes. Every person is different and every medication treats every single person differently however studies have proven that 60 mg of oxycodone is very effective in moderate to severe pain relief.
