Suboxone To Help With Methadone Withdrawal

I have been taking 56 mg of methadone every other day I would like to know if 3 8mg Suboxone would help with withdrawal. I know that I have to wait at least three days and in withdrawal before I take the Suboxone. I would like to know if this is going to help me. I am a single mother 36 years old and a full-time college student, I was sober for 4 1/2 years and had an fortunate relapse this is why I started at the methadone clinic in the first place. My new semester starts in a month and I want to be free and clear of this, my question is will the 3 8mg Suboxone and help me so I will not be sick? My friend gave me the three tablets, I do not want to be dependent on the Suboxone this is why I think three would be enough? I am okay with feeling a little crappy but I cannot have full-blown withdrawal symptoms because of being a single mother.. Any information would be appreciated..

A little more info is needed. How long have you been taking methadone every other day? A week,month,6 months,year? Methadone is a hard drug to get out of your system. People I have known to get off the drug needed to be weened off for months at a time. To answer your question 3 8mg subs will not help you in the long run. Also if you start on subs and take them over a period of time you will need to taper down as well. Why not find a doctor that will prescribe you sub? You can go to the Suboxone website and find a doctor in your area with your zip code.Remember, Everyone is different with detoxing from opiates/methadone/subs.
