I have only been on suboxone for 4 days (8mg 1 time a day). It's my first time taking sub's. It's been 12 hours. I went to the hospital and they said I have kidney stones. I'm in a lot of pain. They gave me 10 mg norcos. I'm not looking to feel high just want pain relief. Please advise.

Hello, Hope! How are you?

Oh, I understand, I had a kidney stone a few years ago, and it was horrible.

It usually takes about 3 days (72 hours), before other opiates will be effective for you, again, after taking Suboxone for a few days.

The FDA warns that this medication carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth, and constipation.

Did they give you anything at the hospital? IE: I mean while you were there to help with the pain.
