Suboxone Sore Mouth (Top voted first)
UpdatedI can take up to 8mg per day but I only take around 4mg per day for knee pain. I have had mouth pain off and on for the last year and I thought it was a yeast infection so I went to my GP and they did a diagnostic and it was not a yeast infection. It eventually went away, I think my doctor gave me an antibiotic but I also ate tons of yogurt. It happened again and I was taking a medication that caused my body to dry out. I have a big problem with dry eyes so my doctor then felt that I had a dry tongue. I started washing my mouth out with violene mouth wash and using xylimelts in my mouth at night and that made it go away. Now it is happening again so I wanted to know if it could be my suboxone since I am no longer taking the other medication. If it is the while top of my tongue is sore and has bumps on it in the back and has some white color to it since the reason I thought it was a yeast infection. If it is the suboxone I have to take it, there is not an option so what c a n I do to make it not make my tongue hurt? Maybe put a little malox in my mouth before the Suboxone? Would that hurt the effect of the pain reliever? Thank you!

Thank you, I have found that brushing with CTx4 Gel 1100 tooth gel seems to help tremendously. It does appear to be dry mouth and this tooth gel has extra fluoride in it which helps with cavities due to dry mouth and its l so has Xylitol in it. You can get Xylitol lozenges to use at night to help with dry mouth if it I s that bad and I have. Thank all of you for sharing,, I have no one else.

Hey that sounds like me for sure. It’s been a nightmare. Has to be the suboxon which means I’m really screwed. I’ll keep you posted on what I find out.
Hello, Melissa! How are you? I'm sorry about the problem you're having.
All opiates can cause dry mouth, so that might be what's causing the problem. Things may improve by keeping your mouth moist more often by sucking mints, candies or ice chips.
The FDA warns that this medication may be habit forming and could cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache and constipation.
You should also consult your dentist to be sure..
Is there anything else I can help with?
